The environment of Lake Alma State Park Campground is a significant draw. The park encompasses 292 acres of Ohio's rugged and scenic territory, characterized by rolling hills, wooded valleys, and the calming presence of the 60-acre Lake Alma. The campground itself is deeply shaded by a mixed oak and conifer forest, providing a cool and inviting atmosphere, particularly during warmer months. A gentle creek meanders through the wooded valley, adding to the picturesque scenery and the soothing sounds of nature. The presence of diverse flora and fauna, including regular sightings of local wildlife, enhances the immersive natural experience. The overall setting provides a peaceful retreat that feels secluded yet remains accessible.

The lake is beautiful, there is a swim beach and the bike/walking trails are beautiful. The campsites, however, are cramped and packed. The roadway was narrow and it made backing into our site extra difficult. The bathroom was disgusting. It wasn't kept clean or maintained. I attempted to call multiple times during hours and no one picked up the phone. I will not stay here again.
Nice quiet campground, though a little tight for 5vers and buses. Most site near the front could accommodate you but towards the back it gets pretty tight. Water fill station is a bit far off the road and not obvious for first timers in the grass near the dump station. Great playground for the kids and the lake across the street is pretty and the dock is nice. The road to get to the campground has a couple of very steep little hills the drop right down the other end when your over so be aware coming in. Nice place for the family on a nice summer weekend.
Nice small campground tucked into a wooded ravine. We stayed in a full hook up site. The sites were a little closer than I normally like, but all of our neighbors were friendly and courteous. They had several hiking trail, all clearly marked.
nice little campground with good amount of shade quiet spots are small so go out there and get to know your neighbors love the setting of this state park
Absolutely loved camping here. Such a nice little park. You can tell that it has been well kept and the state puts time and effort into it. The camp sites are very nice and the bath houses are clean. We had a little waterfall near our site and it was so relaxing. Will definitely be back to camp here again!
