Customer Reviews
Amy and her staff were fantastic! We called frantic because the campground we had originally booked was in poor condition. We had been driving for 8 hours, were frustrated, and exhausted. We started calling other Campgrounds looking for a different place to stay. Amy answered, had a spot, and even texted us the address to make sure we could find it. Well as it was, we were glad the first place didn’t work out! Lake Chesdin is BEAUTIFUL. It was quiet and clean. The sunsets on the lake are absolutely breathtaking. We had a great time and would definitely return. Thanks Amy!!!!
Since we were camping primitive, Leslie and the owner suggested the campsite on the outer edge of the campground. It was quiet (other than an occasional motorist on the country road). We had a nice place under the maple tree. The campsite was clean, free of ticks too! (Anyone camping primitive can appreciate that). The bathhouse was a short hike away for the more "modern" moments of shower and toilet. We found both the owner and Leslie to be helpful and delightful. We enjoyed our stay albeit only two nights. We canoed about the lake, enjoyed some down time on the beach (canoed there) and had a great camping experience. It is a beautiful setting. Note: there are mansions on that lake that don't have the wonderful sunset view that this campground does. I camped at Leonard's when I was a teenager and while I was disappointed to find it now gone, it is good to know there is this campground available! We love that the Christian Flag waves over the office too! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
Thai is an awesome place to stay. It may be a little outdated, but the comfort and ambiance are amazing. I’m wasn’t on the water, but I was nestled among the trees and it was very nice. The park was quiet and relaxing. Just what I needed. They do have a lot of amenities for the water sports and fishing enthusiasts even though I’m not that person. Check them out! You’ll love it
Just stayed Saturday night here with my fiancee Donna. Absolutely amazing we camped on the peninsula and it was absolutely beautiful highly recommend and will be back next weekend. Would live here permanently if I could. Beautiful views amazing sunsets great very friendly people and staff.
This is a beautiful place for camping, it has a beautiful lake. For people that want to relax and unwind, with fully equipped and hook up with electricity, water as well as off the grid. Also it's pretty good for fishing, boating kayaking. I personally give a 8 out of 10. It has picnic are, swimming are in the lake, public bathrooms with showers.
