While the campground operates primarily during the Lake Compounce amusement park season, it has built a reputation for its clean facilities and friendly staff. One satisfied camper highlighted this, stating, "I needed a couple days away and being a Lake Compounce season pass holder I tried the campground. I got the basic tent site 2 nights n it was quiet. Every1 was nice to me. Showers n baths were very clean.. Seemed like a good value to get your family out of the house camping for a night or two .. It was worth what I paid and id recommend the place for every1." This sentiment reflects the campground's appeal as a convenient and comfortable option for families looking to get away. While one review noted some upkeep issues like muddy potholes and unmowed grass during a busy weekend, the overall focus remains on providing a good value and access to extensive family fun.

Considering they should be prepared for memorial day weekend, the campground wasn't in good shape. Gravel roads hadn't been graded so lots of muddy potholes. The grass wasn't mowed. The sites are lightly graveled so muddy in rain. Really not impressed.
This is a nice campground with an attached amusement park/water park attached. The sites are level but doesn’t have a sewer available. They do have a dump station.
This has the potential to be a nice campground. However, in the RV camping section the grass and weeds have not been cut for at least a month, perhaps for all summer. I saw campers sitting in foot tall weeds and grass in their sites. Given the concern about tick borne disease in Connecticut, I am frankly appalled. Also, the potholes in the roads in the campground are numerous and in need of a gravel fill in. I guess that management just doesn't care.
We stopped here while traveling through the area. Near I-84. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The site was nice and level and hookups were good. Wish we had more time to enjoy the amusement park. Will definitely stop here again when in the area.
