Lake Cone Campground Introduce

Lake Cone Campground is located in Christmas, FL 32709, USA. This campground offers a very remote and primitive camping experience. Based on customer reviews, it serves as a refuge area, particularly when the river is flooded.

The campground is described as extremely primitive, meaning it lacks standard amenities. This can be seen as a positive for those seeking a true wilderness experience. It functions as a pit stop for boaters and offers some shelter during rain. However, access to the campground is limited, with some reviews indicating it is primarily or solely accessible by foot.

Key characteristics of Lake Cone Campground include:

  • Remote location
  • Primitive camping conditions
  • Serves as a refuge during river floods
  • Suitable as a boating pit stop
  • Limited accessibility, primarily by foot

It is important to note that the campground's remote nature and lack of amenities make it suitable for experienced campers who are prepared for basic conditions. If you are looking for a campground with facilities, this is most likely not the location for you. This campground is more for those who enjoy the outdoors in its rawest form.

Due to the primitive nature of this campground, it is highly advisable to prepare accordingly and bring all necessary supplies. It is also recommended to verify access and any potential restrictions before planning a trip.

So this campground is pretty remote and is one of the only refuge area to camp when the river is flooded out. It's a great pit stop while out boating and offers a bit of cover during rain. Primitive is an understatement and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

If this place even exists, it can only be reached on foot.
