Dog friendly! Beautiful in the daytime and at dusk for Sunset! We enjoyed a walk through the park in the evening and had a lovely time watching people fish during the day. Small swimming spot and picnic tables are everywhere if you want to bring lunch!

Lake Dardanelle State Park is only a short, unstressful drive from Mount Nebo State Park and is totally worth the effort. The visitors center is situated along the lake and offers a truly unique and wonderful interactive experience great for those both young and old. There are a number of aquariums that beautifully represent the lake's inhabitants, as well as an active bee hive, a turtle pond, frogs and lizards. To give you an idea of just how vast they are, they hold 8000 pounds of water as well as one twenty-one year old catfish known as the grandfather. The gift shop is better than most with tees, local crafts, jewelry and knives among other things. There's great vistas, picnic areas and an extensive boardwalk to experience the lake's natural beauty. Finally, there is also a fishing pier for those so inclined.

Lake Dardanelle State Park is an absolutely beautiful place and is a must see for the young and old alike! I attended a field trip with my grandson at the state park during the fall, and the fall foliage was breathtaking. There is a lot to do at the park. The visitor center alone is super educational for all ages with a gorgeous view of the lake. The staff were so friendly and told my grandsons school to please come back again. The playground area was a hit with the little ones, and you will want to stroll the camping area and marina, too! Two beautiful piers to walk out onto the water and fish or just relax and enjoy the sites. Lots of locals walk/run in the state park, and with the views, it's differently worth the drive in from town. As my grandson and I drove through the park one last quick look, we agreed we will be back soon and bring the fam!

We just stayed one night but will be going back. Beautiful camp with the best registration building with aquarium featuring all the fish living in the big lake. Has a marina and very clean restrooms and campground.

What a great park/lake. Just stunning views all around you. Staff are tops and very friendly and personable. Will be going on a boat tour on Saturday. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. There's one odd thing about this park, and this is my opinion, and the personnel unsettling thing is there's the nuclear one power close by. And it's kinda cool that it is there. Make for great pictures.
