Lake George Camping Village

My family had a great time at Lake George Camping Village. We really enjoyed our cabin and site. The kids really enjoyed the various amenities available to them. The only thing that prevented a 5 star rating is the washrooms/showers. They are rather dated and in need of updating. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay there.

We recently spent a week in a beautiful spot! The campground is quiet, very wooded and well maintained. We did look around a bit and noticed that the sites are mostly large and private. And the price for full hook up was extremely reasonable! The only reason I don't give it five stars is because there are no planned activities, but they are working on that! Kathleen in the office was friendly and pleasant!

Worst experience at this campground. The staff are rude and show no courtesy. Especially the short guy riding around on the gator. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Cursed at my colleague for no reason. He was very lucky we are civil and educated otherwise things could’ve gone really bad for him. The internet sucks, the noise from the highway sucks, the lady at the front desk sucks. Don’t be fooled by there false pitch that they have limited campsites available, this place is a ghost town, nobody wants to stay here.

*This is not a review of the actual campground and accommodations, but a review of their dealing with unexpected cancellations/inability to contact staff.* Our family planned a weekend camping trip during the first week of July. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit due to illness. We contacted the office two days prior letting them know we would need to cancel. Previously, the office had been extremely responsive to emails and phone calls (communicated multiple times with questions about the site and number of guests). However, since requesting a cancellation, we have heard absolutely nothing from the campground despite multiple emails and phone calls. No one has even picked up the phone during “open” hours. We understand there is likely a nonrefundable portion of our reservation but continue to request some type of communication.

Nice place! The sites are large and fairly wooded, nice and level and freshly covered with stone. The staff was really friendly. The respectfully asked us to quiet down around 10:30 on night. It was completely understandable as our family tends to get loud when we all get together. The bathrooms were immaculate. The showers are private rooms which is a plus. How they could have been a bit cleaner. If you use flip flops or crocs to showers it really doesn't matter. We were here for the last week of July into August in 2024 and there were barely any mosquitoes. The location is a quick drive from the hustle and bustle of Lake George village. I would highly recommend this campground if you are looking to stay in the lake george area.
