We stayed here for the very first time and had a blast. We stayed at a back in RV spot. It was clean and easy to get in. The site was a decent size, thankfully both of our neighbors were absolutely lovely. We spent our days exploring the multiple arcades (they could use some updating), biking the trails, and walking the dogs. Usually we skip the teeny dog parks that RV parks have. Let me tell you, this one is anything but rinky. There was a small dog area sectioned off, but the big dog section was the real start. We played with the fire hydrant mister, walked the trails, played with the agility toys, and made a few friends along the way. The dog wash area was clean and functional. Don't worry, if you forgot a ball, treats, or dog shampoo, they have a vending machine with all the goodies you might need. This place is generally geared towards kids, but as two people with just dogs, this was a fun place to stop. We look forward to coming back!
Please be aware of this parks cancellation policy. The park management has no concerns or care for it's clients. The park is money hungry. We had a reservation for this weekend and were in transit to the park and had our tow vehicle breakdown that would not be fixed until after the weekend. I spoke with Gary one of the management team who took a hard line and wasn't willing to even put the monies on another reservation for this year or next. Either way we're not asking for the money back just what we had already paid for since were putting out more money for towing and a hotel. I'll NEVER return to this park not due to the park but it's management. The park must be going bankrupt since they are so money hungry so be aware. Go some place else as there are lots of nice camp grounds in the Lake George area.
Amazing RV park. This park is well maintained with paved roads and leveled gravel sites. Each site has full hookups with your own garbage can. There is plenty to do rain or shine with 3 pools, splash area for kids, movie theaters, game rooms, and activities. There are great walking trails and bike trails throughout. A trolley brings you around to the outlets and Lake George Village. One of the best dog parks I have seen with a washing station too. The downside is that the town is very crowded in the summer.
When searching for family vacations and places to stay/things to do, I always look at the Google reviews. Lake George RV Park is beyond worthy of a 5 star review. We drove from Michigan to visit Lake George and the park was even better than we could have hoped. For starters, the cabins are awesome. They are equipped with everything you need to make meals on site all week. Our favorite hangout spot was the gazebo with fan next to the cabin and fire pit area. Traveling with 3 kids (twin 5 year olds / 7 year old) it’s key that we keep them busy with things to do. The Cascade Cave Pool area is awesome. My wife and I made the comment multiple times that we were shocked how clean the pool area was and how it never get too crowded all week. The park does a good job reserving the amenities for the guests of the park only (visitors of guests can pay for a day pass). Also, there were multiple arcades and playgrounds throughout the park and a pond for fishing. The highlight for our kids was Bingo (Monday/Thursday nights) and the Magic Show. They have shows / events in the evening daily and our kids loved them. After the first Bingo night they couldn’t wait for the next. Also, (outside of the cost of wood) I was really impressed with the prices in the camp store. In the past I’ve always thought places gauge you in the camp stores but they kept things reasonably priced! Last, everyone we dealt with working in the park was very friendly. The park has rules clearly posted but we never felt like anyone was breathing down ours or any guests necks to follow them. The pool does not have any lifeguards or anyone actively monitoring the splash pad area which was refreshing. Each parent is responsible for their own kids which is how it should be. Overall, we had such a great experience I felt necessary to share for anyone else that is looking for a 5 star camping experience!
Been going here my entire life. My family has collectively been going for over 60 years. Our absolute favorite campground to go to. Always clean, close to downtown, plenty to do for kids + adults. No strict rules and paved roads. Allows golf carts. Only downside is their rates are crazy expensive now and only for a “family of 2” which makes no sense. Basic rates for a family should be for 4. Additional people extra - and a separate rate for couples. But we keep going back because it’s that amazing.
