Lake Haven Family Campground

What a great place to stay. We were here for a week and loved every minute of it. We have a big rig and need large sites to stay. There was more than enough room. This was a great pace to have a base camp for motorcycle riding. Lake Haven also just happens to have some of the best mountain views around. Fires in the evening watching the sunset was memorable. Easy to say that when people start finding out about this place it will be hard to reserve a site. Lynne and Chuck are awesome people, they are what makes this place a little nicer, Not to mention the dog friendly park. Our dogs loved here also. Can't wait to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lake Haven Family Campground, and it’s easily one of the best campgrounds I’ve visited. Nestled in a serene location, the views here are nothing short of breathtaking. From every site, you're treated to sweeping vistas of mountains, a rolling meadow, with the kind of picturesque sunsets that make you stop and take it all in. The campsites are generously sized, offering plenty of space for any type of RV or camper, even towing. You never feel crowded, which really adds to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to unwind with nature or enjoy some quiet family time, the large sites give you room to spread out and enjoy your stay. One of the standout features of this campground is the owners. They are warm, welcoming, and truly care about making sure their guests have a great experience. They were always around, checking in to see if we needed anything. We can’t wait for 2025, when they’ll have even more amenities available, bath houses, a pool, and more. In short, Lake Haven Family Campground is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery and friendly, attentive hosts. I can't recommend it enough!

Absolutely beautiful views. The owners were very kind. The others campers were friendly. They are dog friendly and even have a dark park. Our trip got cut short (due to something back home) so we will definitely be coming back again!

Lake Haven Campground is an absolute gem! My husband and I spent a few days here, and it was one of the most peaceful getaways we've ever experienced. The campground is an impeccably clean, well-maintained property that made our stay comfortable and stress-free. The views are simply breathtaking—whether you're gazing out at the beautiful Appalachian mountains or enjoying the nearby Watuaga Lake, it's a feast for the eyes. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. They truly make you feel at home with full hookups, level spots, fast WiFi, and even free firewood for their huge fire pits (both communal and at each site). One of the best parts is that Lake Haven is dog-friendly! Our pups had a blast exploring the area, and we loved that they were welcomed with open arms. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area with great recommendations from the owner, especially Villa Nove Winery. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, and scenic place to relax and unwind, Lake Haven Campground is the perfect spot. We can't wait to return!

First, we were at loss where your camp site was, Lynn was courteous in her directions. We are very appreciative that Lynn visited us when we arrived to offer any assistance in getting settled. And we also enjoyed visiting with her! We felt safe in the location.
