This is the perfect place for camping. Very clean and well maintained rest rooms. Nice shower facilities with hot water. Beautiful lakefront sites and a large beach for hanging out, fishing, kite flying, and all around fun. Very accommodating, friendly staff. Nearby Idyllwild and its Nature Center for beautiful hiking should be part of the plan. Some good restaurants as well. Our eight year old twins were occupied the entire time with fun activities and plenty of kids to play with.

We were in search for a camp ground that we could have our fur baby but also do some fishing. And well Lake Hemet came up and we were not disappointed!! I can’t not comment on the rooms as we stay in a tent only camp area but the area was beautiful, great location, clean, and the camp host was super nice! The area also had the convenience of bathroom and showers?! And a dumpster in walking distance! All around the experience was as great and a great place for a birthday weekend !! Thanks Lake Hemet ! We can’t wait to return and try out the other amenities you have !

This is a very underrated camping spot (I think the name turns some away). Our lakeside spot was spacious with awesome views. Restrooms were very clean (surprisingly clean for a campground!). Campground staff were friendly and helpful. There's a small market at the entrance that's perfect for items you may have forgotten to pack. This is a great campground, especially for new campers. My only complaint, and it's not the campgrounds fault, is that we had neighbors on both sides that didn't respect "quite hours". I'm all for everyone having a good time, but when it's near midnight after a long day and large parties are still going strong, it's a bit much.

We love this campground. We camp here a few times a year with family and friends. The views are beautiful, lots of areas to fish and enjoy the views. Campsites and bathrooms are kept pretty clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We camped during the tricker treating event and it was perfect for families with younger kids.

This was my 2nd trip to this amazing Lake and camp ground. It’s part of the National Park system, so make sure to purchase a day pass to visit or I highly recommend buying an annual pass at $30 bucks is a better value. The Lake is very well maintained and very huge. The camp sites are clean and a nice trail that goes out and back about 3 miles to boot. I highly recommend a visit if you’re looking to connect with nature and disconnect with city life for the day. 😊
