Lake Heron Retreat

We really enjoyed our short stay at Lake Heron Retreat. It truly is a retreat from a busy life. It's a quiet spot with a beautiful little lake and a nice walking trail around it. We also enjoyed a canoe trip out on the lake. It was just a peaceful place to get away from the hustle of life. We stayed in our camper and since school had already started there weren't many people around. Would definitely consider visiting this campground again. Thank you for providing this restful retreat.

A smaller camping and RV area with a private lake. Spots are quiet, shaded, and spacious with water and electricity. The lake is lovely and offers swimming, small unpowered watercraft, and amazing fishing opportunities. The general area is very rural and offers nearly nothing in terms of food and resources, so prepare well.

We truly loved the campground....we really enjoyed the peace, the size of the RV sites, the fact that we didn't have to work so hard at leveling our unit because the sites were pretty well straight. We liked it so much we would consider seasonal camping there!

First day here n this place is amazingly beautiful,secluded,n we are beyond pleased! The owner Gail is so attentive to our calls n questions! In which we're grateful..our site #22 is perfect..full hookup,everything is great..n a beautiful lake on property w plenty fish..good for boats etc.w a few piers..well maintained place n very peaceful place..its only our first day here n we are planning our next trip here n even told our kids they gotta come here soon..n its reasonably priced..thank you so much..!!!

Such a great evening at Lake Heron! Our youth group loves coming here and we will be back next year for sure! Such a beautiful lake and GREAT for swimming, Kayaking, peddle boating (available for a reasonable price), sitting on the dock, fishing, and more! Bugs weren't even that bad! Well maintained area and facilities! Great and welcoming staff! You've got to have most people park and walk to the pavilion, but its really not far. Can't wait till next year!

I can't say enough good things about this campsite. It is primitive so if that isn't your cup of tea you might not like it here. Sites 1-6 were recently added and are pull-through sites. They are very large and long and pretty level. The original sites are all back in. The hookups worked as expected, and we had no trouble at all with any of the services. The camp host and her husband were amazing! She frequently checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and having a good time. If you like to take nature walks or shorter hikes this place is a must to check out. We hiked a different trail the week we stayed, and often commented on how well maintained they were. The lake was beautiful, and we enjoyed the Blackfoot trail that takes you around the entire lake. We will definitely be adding this site to our next camping season!
