The staff is very friendly and helpful with guiding people into their campsites. There are plenty of sites to choose from for tents, pop-ups, and larger RVs. Some of the sites near the office, store, and game room are set up oddly on a somewhat terraced lawn. Our site was along the shrubbery at the top of the hill. We were nearly alone midweek. A nice view of the lake. Close to the bathroom/shower house. Once Friday evening came, the sites near us filled in. Now, our view was of a line of RVs and trucks. Tenters had set up on the leading edge. I am not sure how we could have gotten out first. Firepits seemed to be in odd places. You could easily drive your vehicle into one if not careful. The bathroom is clean. However, stalls and showers had no hooks to hang things to stay dry or shelves to put soap, etc. The store has bare minimum items and does not carry milk or bread. The swimming area had large inflatables for kids or adult to use. There were lots of canoes, fishing supplies to rent. Also the gameroom was uniquely free! All you needed was to sign off on the game parts needed. AirHockey, skeetball, billiards, ping-pong and more. Several playgrounds were placed throughout the grounds. There were also Porta pottys in several locations. They looked to be from the 50s or 60s. Very small looking.
This is a beautiful setting and the staff were all more than willing to help; but I don’t believe there is a ten foot flat spot in the entire campground.
Friendly staff, all sites have picnic table and fire ring. Water electric rv hookup but no sewer. Dump station near entrance. LOTS of water toys and special area for younger kids. 12 and under required to wear life preservers. Small camp store. Well maintained atea.
Randomly found this place on a camping app. We decided to try it out. Very friendly staff, the owners were very nice and helpful. Even showed us where the best fishing spots were located and where our dogs could swim. They even let you call the office and have wood delivered to your campsite. We loved it so much, we actually called our friends out to join us. Highly recommend!
Our grandkids and family loved the place! Great ideas for a campground. Beach, fishing, water toys, boats and wonderful staff. We also loved their idea on the game room. No charge just check things out to play in the office. Only complaint is hours unless you are there over the weekend. Closed game room at 3 on Sundays and not open until 11 on Monday. Would for sure make another trip to this place!
