Not the place to go if you want peace and quiet camping. The drone of air boats and motor boats was pretty constant thru out the day and first thing in the morning. Rented one of the glamping tents and sadly was next to a frat house all weekend. Guys partied all day/night and nothing was done. The tent was nice, clean and had great amenities. The bathrooms were also clean and nice. But just too many loud annoying people.
Amazing place for “wild” camping,. camp grounds have enough space between them. Water, electricity. 60 spaces in total. Through October - May there’s a cow camp, never been there but excited about to see that show. A lot of wild animals
Great Place the pioneer tents are cool and look like a lot of fun. Cool place the cowboy camp was cool too. There is a general store. The have rental fishing poles. You can rent canoes and kayaks. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. There are plenty of hiking trails. You can see all kinds of wildlife
Lake Kissimmee is on the top of our list for being one of the most scenic and quite Florida state parks campground. The camp ground is laid out nicely so the sites have a lot of privacy with easy access to the shower/bathrooms. It’s off the beaten track so it’s nice and quite. The park has excellent fishing/kayaking/boating access. The park has some pretty nice hiking trails with plenty of wildlife viewing. My favorite feature is all the oak tree hammocks providing scenic shade.
Great hikes and biking trails. Very clean all through out park bathrooms and rv sites. Volunteers great full of information. Will be back. Thank you to staff and volunteers for keeping this park so nice for all of us.
