I will never return! The website fails to mention the freight trains that rumble through every 2-3 hours, shaking your tent. The loud air horns are unbearable. The tracks are less than 50 feet from the tent sites. The resort claims no responsibility for the noise, but they should be upfront about it. Don't go here if you value peace and quiet! And even with "endless water," you have to pay for showers!

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever seen. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the staff is friendly. A great place for retired military or ex-Boy Scouts. Tell Virgil I said hi!

The campsites are TINY and hard to access. The "road" was just grass. We had to walk through other people's sites to get to the bathrooms, and they through ours. Zero privacy. My camper was 5 feet from others. Leaving was a nightmare; we had to ask people to move their stuff. Ridiculous! Who designs campsites like this? It's like parking at Wrigley Field! Also, unsafe. If a child got hurt, getting out in an emergency would be difficult. And the trains! Loud, all night, every 45 minutes! Restrooms were clean, but one flooded. The kids loved the playground.

Nice campground with a fun sandy beach, swing, slide, and trampoline. Good-sized sites. The only issue is the freight train 20-50 yards away, blowing its horn 6-9 times a day (including overnight).

My husband and I drove from Kansas City for our anniversary. The campground is well-maintained and clean. But the trains! Loud horns every 2-3 hours, shaking everything. I booked two nights, left after one. No refund, just a free night offered! Never again! If the website mentioned the trains, we wouldn't have come. They nickel and dime you: "endless water" but pay for showers! Unsafe for families. Horrible experience. One star is too much. Stay away if you want R&R! $65 minimum for tent camping, no fire pits, no camp stoves allowed, though there's a cafe and store.
