They have done an amazing job cleaning up from the hurricane and flooding. The campground was beautiful and peaceful. We had a relaxing stay fishing. Shops and Restaurants close by. Campsites are all on the river. With each, Water Spigot, 110 outlets and 30 Amp, Fire Ring and sand bedding.
I've been here with my family, with friends and alone, before the tlnew owners and I must say they are doing great things and I love its still simple camping. So peaceful and the view is amazing being on the water in a tent, camper or hammock it's awesome. Thanks for making it better.
What a hidden gem! Lake Lookout campground offers waterfront tent and Rv camping with lake access, clean bath facilities, and is less than a hour from Charlotte. It’s quickly becoming our favorite weekend getaway destination. We are already planning our next visit.
Awesome getaway! Serene, calm area. Mgmt was avail for every need. Bath area could use some tlc, but it serves its purpose. We will def be back & call this one of our fav campsites! Easy to get in and park the travel trailer. Pets allowed. Rope swings over the water for the kids is a plus.
