This place is our number one fav place to go camping. We stay in the cabins for most of the summer. It’s beautiful and the hiking trails are so much fun for the family to do together. There’s a beach to swim and plenty of space to run and play or just chill and camp. Can’t go wrong here.
The lake is only 45 mins from metro station louis a lot to do fishing swimming boating. Has a nice beach. Lots of nature trails to walk. Clean showers and bathrooms. Staff is nice
Have camped here a few times and may I say that the campground manager (Wes) was the coolest dude ever! He was super accommodating and overall kind and you can truly tell he loves his work. The campground is well kept and bathrooms are maintained very well. I truly feel safe at this campground and it has only been wonderful experiences!
Was the perfect night for Easter camping! Wes the park ranger was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Beautiful lake, peaceful camping, and a wonderful time.
Awesome little campground. Hidden away and quiet but close enough to town that you can easily pop over to Walmart if you need something. Wes was fantastic! One of those really genuinely nice people that the world is lacking anymore. We had fireflies crawling on the outside of the tent at night, saw deer walking through the campground, heard owls and overall had a great night. We will be back.
