Hello, fellow Minnesotans! When you're looking for that perfect blend of peaceful nature, clean facilities, and genuine outdoor fun, Lake Louise Campground in Le Roy Township is a gem worth discovering. This state park campground offers a refreshing escape, proving that sometimes, the best experiences come in a well-maintained, comfortable, and serene package.
Lake Louise Campground provides a welcoming environment for all types of campers, from those traveling with an RV for a quick overnight stay to families setting up tents for a longer retreat. Visitors consistently praise its "nice quiet campground" atmosphere and "clean bathrooms," making for a truly comfortable experience. Unlike some larger, bustling parks, Lake Louise offers a more intimate setting, allowing you to truly relax and soak in the natural beauty of southern Minnesota. Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature, enjoying a hot cup of coffee, and knowing that clean, updated facilities are just a short walk away. With its thoughtful layout and commitment to cleanliness, Lake Louise Campground is an excellent choice for a memorable Minnesota outdoor adventure.
Lake Louise Campground is located in Le Roy Township, MN 55951, USA. More specifically, it is a key feature of Lake Louise State Park, situated in the southeastern corner of Minnesota, very close to the Iowa border. This location places it within the "Driftless Area" of Minnesota, a unique geological region characterized by rolling hills, deep valleys, and lush woodlands, untouched by the last glaciation.
The park and campground are conveniently accessible from nearby Highway 56, and Interstate 90 is only about half an hour's drive away. This makes Lake Louise Campground an ideal stop for those traveling through the region or for locals seeking a quick, accessible getaway. While the roads leading to the park and within the campground are generally well-maintained, some visitors with larger RVs note that certain areas, particularly in the equestrian campground loop, might require careful maneuvering due to curves or tight turns. However, the main campground loops are typically accommodating for most RV sizes up to 45 feet.
Being part of a state park means the infrastructure is designed for public access, providing clear signage and well-defined routes. The campground itself is "set back" within the park, ensuring a sense of tranquility despite its accessibility. Its proximity to the small town of Le Roy (just two miles away) is an added convenience, allowing campers to easily stock up on supplies, gas, or enjoy local eateries without having to venture far from their natural retreat.
For reservations, current conditions, or any specific inquiries about Lake Louise Campground, it is best to contact Lake Louise State Park directly, as it is managed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

For us Minnesotans, Lake Louise Campground at Lake Louise State Park offers an incredibly appealing package. We appreciate clean, well-maintained facilities, and the consistent praise for its "clean bathrooms" and "updated" showers speaks directly to that value. It's a place where comfort doesn't compromise the natural experience.
The "nice quiet campground" atmosphere, with "outer ring" sites offering more seclusion, aligns perfectly with our desire to escape the everyday hustle and find peace in nature. The fact that it's a "small but decent size for a smaller park" means it rarely feels overcrowded, allowing for genuine relaxation. For families, the "great family park" feel, complete with a swimming beach, picnic areas, and accessible bike trails (with bike rentals available from town!), makes it an ideal spot for creating cherished memories close to home.
Lake Louise's location in the unique "Driftless Area" of southern Minnesota offers a distinct landscape different from our northern lakes, providing a new perspective on our state's diverse beauty. Whether you're a seasoned RV traveler seeking convenient amenities, a family looking for a fun and safe outdoor adventure, or simply a local looking to "kick back, sip coffee in the morning, and soak in the scenery," Lake Louise Campground is a fantastic choice. It's a testament to the quality and accessibility of Minnesota's State Parks, truly a local treasure waiting to be explored.

We stayed here for an overnight on our travels. It was a nice quiet campground with clean bathrooms. Individual shower stalls on the side of the restroom building.
The campground is pretty nice. It is small but decent size for a smaller park. The bathroom building are excellent as they are updated and clean. The outer ring is more spread out and secluded and has the better spots to camp. The inner spots are a little congested but still shaded. The horse camp is nearby so maybe with a strong west wind you could smell it.
Nice out of the way campground. Bathrooms look new and clean. Be aware that it has a gravel road entrance, and make sure you keep an eye out for branches if you're in a big rig. Great camp host .
