I visited this state park the day after Thanksgiving, so it was cold and the beach was obviously closed, but this was still a great state park to experience. There were plenty of piers and other spots on the shore to fish from. The lake was a beautiful blue and clean water. There was a lot of birding activity going on. Plenty of parking. I'd love to visit again in the summer months.
Cool place. This lake has a lot of trees so you can find shade anywhere. One thing I will say is that the road is narrow and the right side when you are coming in had huge chunks of the road gone or rutted out, be careful, one little slip to the right edge and your vehicle will be damaged. The grass was mowed nicely and there were a lot of people fishing around the entire late.
Great park! Clean and family friendly. Beach and playground were very clean and well maintained. Campground was quiet and the spots give you plenty of room.
Beautiful place, met a nice person there today. A few older hollow trees have been cut down, they were awesome to look at, I kind of hope they leave them there for a while for everyone to see.
Stayed overnight at a pull through site in the campground. Very clean, spacious and quiet. The park was beautiful, well manicured and clean. I'll recommend this site to traveling friends.
