Lake Mason Campground Introduce

Lake Mason Campground, located at 4035 1st Ln, Briggsville, WI 53920, USA, offers a mixed camping experience with both positive and negative aspects. As part of the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category, it provides a range of lodging options and access to natural surroundings.

Positive reviews highlight the campground as a "hidden gem," praising the on-site Airbnb rental for its spaciousness and comfort. Visitors have enjoyed the opportunity to observe various types of wildlife in close proximity. The campground's location, approximately 15 minutes from the Dells, offers a balance between nature and access to popular tourist attractions. The hosts, Clayton and Tracy, are commended for their hospitality.

However, negative reviews express concerns about the campground's management and amenities. Former loyal visitors have noted a decline in the quality of public amenities, particularly the bathrooms, which are described as "scary." There are also complaints about restrictions on camper usage during the winter months, including a requirement for 72-hour notice for even brief visits. This has led to dissatisfaction among long-term campers who value the ability to check on their campers and maintain them during the off-season.

The campground appears to be suitable for those who prioritize a quiet, natural setting and are willing to rely on their own camper facilities or the on-site Airbnb. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues with public amenities and management policies.

Lake Mason Campground offers mixed reviews on amenities and management. Located at 4035 1st Ln.

This place is a hidden gem! Loved spending the night in their massive airbnb on site. I was fortunate to see all types of wild life and in close proximity to the Dells (which is roughly 15min away). It's nice being in nature and not around all of the hustle and bustle if you can appreciate that. Will come back again and thank you Clayton and Tracy for being hospitable hosts!

Beware. Use to be an outstanding campground. If you plan on staying in your own space and need NOTHING else this might be your place. Use your own camper bathroom as public ones are scary. Not being able to utilize your camper during winter is a shame and have to now give 72 hr notice to be there for 30 minutes. Not sure we can clean up leaves in that time and hope there is no damage done during the winter. It was nice to check on it and make sure doors remained closed along with neighbors campers. Hope there is change/improvement next season or may be our last. Sad as this camp has been our happy place for 8 yrs.

We loved the campground and all of the friends we made, but management is 👎. The only way you'd find out information is when they posted yet another piece of paper on the office windows. Hello.. you have all of our emails. The woman manager telling people if you don't like the way things are, then get the eff out. Not being in the office during posted hours. Them constantly changing the rules. An example: two campers were told they could stay over the winter like they have been doing for years. Different managers come in and all of a sudden the answer is no. Informing people that if you're in the campgrounds after November 1st, you are trespassing and the police will be called. So many like to come up after all the leaves fall and clean up their sites. (The campground always looked good.) Was told management was going to take care of that. Riiiight. Hearing that they weren't going to blow out the water lines but were going to let gravity do the job. What!? And the review made by Tracy; she is not a camper, she is the manager. There were rarely open spots in this campground in the past, but after the campground was sold, things started going downhill. When we pulled our camper out this year, there were at least 10 open sites, and 13 campers for sale. Hmmmm... The one star rating I gave this campground is for the service. There are awesome people in this campground and we had a great time the 8 seasons we were here!

I have been apart of Lake Mason Campground for the last few months, since July 2024. I have found it to be a Family Friendly campground to come and relax, enjoy the water, and sit around the campfire with friends and family. Price increases have occurred, but I don't believe they are any higher than surrounding Campgrounds in the area. I have seen first hand the maintenance and management team go out of their way to accommodate guest, as best they can, while still staying in compliance with campground rules. We love it here at Lake Mason and look forward to being here for many years to come. We hope anyone reading this, and any reviews priors, has an un-biased opinion. We hope you take it upon yourself to come and see just how wonderful our Campground and Lake really is.

The playground is a joke. There really isnt one. They put peagravel under the toddler slide and now there are weeds growing in it. No one is maintaining it. Will pestisides be used to kill them with the littles playing in there? Should have just left it in the grass.
