Incredibly kind and helpful staff, and guests. Fun lake (moon over the water was beautiful). Bathrooms we're clean and newly painted (we tent camped). Well maintained grounds. Kids had a blast. Highly recommended and I would happily return!
Beautiful views of Lake Mattoon, the campground host was as rude as could be! Our truck did not have AC and it was 90+ outside our sister in law and her family were already there and had their camper set up with their AC on. So my husband pulled in to the campground without Checking in so he could drop the boys and I off. My kids are 2 months and 8 years. He stopped us and didn’t care that our baby was hot. Then as the weekend went on we were just enjoying ourselves and our kids were not able to ride their bikes or go to the beach area. Needless to say this is not a campground for kids you will not feel welcomed.
Very nice and quiet campground. People are friendly and the bathroom is clean. If you are tent camping you cannot pull your vehicle up to your spot and have to carry all the your stuff, not a big deal. The marina does not have any rentals, very disappointing.
We went tent camping and its right next to a cemetery and shower house. You can't drive up to your spot so you have to pack everything. The man that took our money was really nice but the patrol guy is terrible rude. We will never be back lesson learned. I will now on check the area before i pay to camp anywhere.
