We LOVE lake Pillsbury resort. We have been going for many years. Love the campground... adore the staff. They have become friends. It is my grandkids absolute favorite place to camp. It was approx 2020/2021 when attached pics were taken. Water levels were super low from drought. So normally it's a super short distance to water.

Where do I start… I am not the type to leave a review but I think it’s important so people are aware that this lake can be dangerous to swim in.. this lake has toxic algae!! I wish someone would have told us… we found out by reading the signs at the beginning of the dirt road to camp… no signs posted anywhere at the campground, no heads up from the staff… I am glad I didn’t have a dog with me that would probably drink the water… the water levels are really low and you can physically see the algae around the bank of the water……. I booked this place thinking Resort. Well it is far from a resort… the pictures of the place or nothing like what I saw…. the people in the office were nice and helpful no complaints there. The cleanliness of the bathrooms, showers, and everything else were horrible… I’m not exaggerating when I say the bathrooms have not seen a sponge in a really long time. We stayed for three days and in those three days the bathrooms and showers were not attended to. The shower drains are so full of hair they don’t drain well.. there was trash in our site when we arrived. The fire pit was full of ashes and we had to empty it to make a fire. I just think for the amount they’re charging you per night, it should be better kept. I will say that we went there with the intention of putting our boat in the water, fishing, and swimming, and we did none of those. Also, be carful leaving any type of food out, the ground squirrels and meat bees will do anything to get your food…

It's an awesome drive. It's 10 miles of dirt road but any car can get there just drive slow and steady. Place has showers behind the store. Bathrooms are decently clean. I camped in tent but they offer cabins. Water is perfect when in summer time. Water shoes are best because it is all pebbles and sharp rocks.

Regular camp ground, had a good weekend there. Bathrooms were wicked clean. Campground and sites were clean as well. Sites are not spaced out. Lots of boat noose from the lake, and generators from the RVs hummed all night. Overall good vibe and a good time. If you're looking for seclusion this is not the place.

Awesome campground, cabins are perfect, we travelled up with our 7 month old twins and 2 year old on Aug 22nd for a the min 4 night paid stay. Super close to water, water level great even for late Aug, had to leave after 1 night due to intensity of smoke, couldnt leave cabin on second morning due to being smoked in, painful to have to pack everything up and get out, super painful to have to pay the 4 night mandatory for 1 night stay, fully understand this was out of control of the resort but they should prob advise ppl to stay away and avoid the long drive. Will go back next year but will ensure to have travel insurance Would strongly advise not travelling in the current environment, too expensive, too much planning for no lake access.
