Lake Ripley Campgrounds Introduce
Lake Ripley Campgrounds offers a charming retreat nestled along the shores of Lake Ripley in Litchfield, Minnesota. This campground is an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors while staying close to essential amenities. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or solo, Lake Ripley Campgrounds provides a welcoming environment that combines natural beauty with modern convenience.
Located at 1810 S Ripley Dr, Litchfield, MN 55355, the campground is easily accessible and offers a variety of camping options. From RV sites to tent-only areas, Lake Ripley Campgrounds caters to all types of campers. The campsite features small, well-spaced spots that are perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life while still being close to nature.
One of the standout features of Lake Ripley Campgrounds is its location directly on the lake. This provides campers with direct access to the water for swimming, boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the scenic views. The campground also offers a beach area where guests can relax and cool off during the warmer months.
When it comes to amenities, Lake Ripley Campgrounds ensures that guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Basic facilities include clean restrooms with showers, though some visitors have noted that the bathroom facilities are older and could use updates. Each camping spot is equipped with picnic tables and fire pits, making it easy to enjoy meals under the stars or gather around the campfire with friends and family.
One of the unique aspects of this campground is that every site is located directly on the lake, providing stunning views and direct access to water activities. However, some guests have mentioned that the lack of shade in certain areas can be a disadvantage for tent campers during peak summer months. It's important for tent campers to consider bringing additional shade solutions, such as popup tents or canopy tarps, especially during hotter days.
Lake Ripley Campgrounds is particularly well-suited for RV owners, with wide enough sites to accommodate most vehicles and easy access to water and electrical hookups. The campsite also offers dump stations, making it convenient for longer stays.
While the campground does not currently offer any promotional deals or discounts, it's always a good idea to check local event calendars or seasonal passes that may be available through the city or state parks department. Additionally, group discounts may be available for larger parties or organized events, so it's worth reaching out directly to confirm.
Customer feedback has been mixed, with some guests praising the cleanliness of the facilities and the convenience of the location, while others have expressed concerns about the lack of shade for tent campers and the condition of the bathroom facilities. One visitor noted that while the campground was nice and clean, the beach was their favorite part, making it worth the visit despite some drawbacks. Another guest appreciated the direct lake access but mentioned that the sites were small and close to the road, which could be a downside for those seeking a quieter camping experience.
Overall, Lake Ripley Campgrounds is a great option for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in a convenient location. With its mix of amenities and natural beauty, it's an ideal spot for families, couples, or solo adventurers. Just be sure to pack extra sunscreen and consider additional shade solutions if you plan to camp in the tent area during peak summer months.

Customer Reviews
Great campgrounds if you have an RV. We brought a tent and had no shade on our area. We ended up having to leave early because of the heat and sun exaustion and sun burn. Yes we had water and reapplied sunscreen frequently It was not very tent friendly. However the campgrounds were nice and clean the beach was nice only writing this to warn other people who want to kick it old school this summer and tent it up otherwise it was great
Smallish spots, all along a road (road noise). Bathrooms are old and not the best. Showers and even the toilet stalls have curtains instead doors. On the plus side, every spot is right on the lake.
Loved camping at Lake Ripley. Can't wait till the next time. Nothing more beautiful than the sunset across the lake.
Great lake! wonderful camp ground! We try to get to this spot every year! This spot fills up quick, and sometimes weather can be bad, being on the east side of the lake... however we try to stay every year! Beautiful sunsets! Stay away from the RV park on the west side.
Fun little strip of land along Lake Ripley! Campground is very active during the day but quiet at night. Lots of Lakeshore perfect for swimming and floating. 2 docks for boating and fishing.
