Nice, small campground. There are only about 10 RV sites and several for tent camping. It is very quiet with beautiful surroundings. The park has a walking trail right by the water and it's beautiful. Some of the latter can get pretty far from the bathroom. The shower is pretty dated and there isn't much privacy. Unfortunately, one of our neighbors was smoking so much weed that sitting outside was almost impossible without getting nauseous. We talked to the campground host about it but nothing changed. Overall, it's a beautiful place for a quick stopover, to do some fishing or just to relax.
Stayed 5 nights. This could be a very nice state campground but it’s too open for constant, suspicious car traffic. It appears to be a meeting place for several “activities”. Cars constantly coming and going, driving slowly with no apparent reason to be in the area, made staying there sometimes uncomfortable. People in mini vans, these are not RVs, are allowed to spend multiple nights. The general manager was extremely nice and helpful but the sense is that his hands are tied in regard to all the visitors allowed to utilize the RV area and sometimes the park itself. Nice park, could be good kayaking but the water was very low, would not stay there again.
Great park. The RV pads are short but we were able to park our 39’ Coach half on the pad and half in the parking lot no problem. The camp host was courteous. The grounds were well kept. Access to the water was super easy. We chose this park because it was centrally located along the Bourbon Trail.
Bathrooms a bit dirty. But had hot shower, water and power. Need to be hosed down. Camphost very nice. He set me up at bathrooms but all night tent campers would drive over and put headlights on when there were lights there. Some with loud children. I'm talking ever hour or so cars, lights and voices. Water not for swimming. Mucky.
Camped here for two weeks. In different spots over the summer. Lots of traffic! At all hrs of the night and day. Should be a sign saying "No outlet". Shady cars meet up at end. fishing for small fish is ok. Very over fished though.
