Nice stop off 95. Quiet and very beautiful. I was on the far side from the lake and I could still see the lake and walk there within 2 minutes. Some very large spots for RV’s like mine @70’. The staff was very helpful and everyone here was pretty quiet. I’ll definitely use this for a pitstop in the future as long as the pricing doesn’t go up. There’s plans for a full remodel next year for the Lakeshore side.
Easy and quick to book online! We booked here because it is in between and relatively close to Congaree National Park and Charleston. We loved our spot and the beautiful view of Lake Marion. Saw some armadillos and Eagles while we were here! (Pointing at an eagle in photo) The bathrooms were clean and warm. The campground was very quiet and pretty much empty during our stay. Our only issue was that we couldn’t find any firewood nearby!
The road to the Lakeshore campground is TERRIBLE! It is full of huge potholes and washed out areas of road. The campsites are ok, lots of tree roots to work around. The Cypress campground is nicely paved but the sites are smaller.
A peaceful, quiet campground with great staff and beautiful views. Perfect stop on our road trip.
Nice campsites among the trees, close to the lake, beautiful sunrise.
