We toured the facility with Josh who was very friendly. The property was very well maintained and looked very nice. Josh was very informative and answered all of our questions. Although the membership does not fit our situation at this time we will continue to consider becoming members. The stag was friendly and helpful and we did not feel overly pressured to buy.

David just gave us a tour of the campground. David was pleasant, friendly and an all around good guy. We really enjoyed the 3 hour tour with him. Although the membership camping program didn't fit with our plans the park looked amazing and well cared for. There was no pressure to buy at all. They presented the options and accepted our response. Great people.

We have been members for over 10 years, but unfortunately, we no longer camp at the Davidson Outdoor Adventure as often due to overcrowding and ongoing issues with staff and rules during each visit. However, we do occasionally use our membership for day trips. When we purchased our lifetime membership—along with the substantial yearly fees—we were told that our children would be included in the membership. Recently, my adult son and his girlfriend took the hour drive from our home to use our membership card for a day trip. Upon arrival, they were turned away at the gate because the staff claimed, "there is no way to tell if he’s on our membership." My son provided his ID and my husband’s membership card, which clearly share the same last name (a unique one), but this still wasn’t enough. I called the office and was told my son had been misinformed—that he could, in fact, be looked up in the system. When I requested written confirmation of his membership status or a card for him, I was told that this is not something the campground does. Given the amount we’ve paid for our membership and annual fees, we are once again disappointed by this lack of consistency and poor communication. We would appreciate clearer guidelines regarding family members’ access, especially since we were initially told our children would be included. Additionally, providing a membership card or confirmation for family members should be standard practice to avoid future confusion. We are requesting that the policy be reviewed, and that our membership be adjusted or clarified to reflect what was originally promised. If this cannot be resolved, we would like to discuss options for compensation or modification of our membership. We have asked for a call back, email, etc. regarding this. The only communication we receive is “your annual fees are due.”

Had a nice tour with Chris. Seems like a nice place to stay. We got 21 days of free camping after purchasing our new pop-up camper. Sadly the 21 days is only available if you use it in 7 day stays and even if you don't stay the full 7, it still counts as 7 days. Unfortunately the membership just isn't something we can afford right now and it's hard for us to get a lot of time off work. Maybe it might work better in the future. Thanks Chris for a great tour!

We had an incredible weekend at Outdoor Adventures Lake Shore Resort! I’ll be honest, we read some mixed reviews before coming and felt a little nervous, but our experience was the complete opposite of those! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with kindness and warmth. Richard and Josh were amazing—so helpful, laid-back, and fun. The whole staff made sure our kids were comfortable and entertained with snacks and activities, which we truly appreciated. The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and full of awesome amenities for the whole family. We had such a great time that we ended up getting a membership! We can’t wait to make more memories here. Thank you to the entire Lake Shore team for going above and beyond!

It's a campground with basically an HOA. You have to have a fancy camper, no toys left out on your site, your rugs have to be neat, and you can't have anything left out drying. The campground is not kept up enough for them to tell us how to camp on our own site that we paid for.

Older amenities and steep staircase. It was very clean and I had a microwave, stove, refrigerator, and sink. The bathroom was very small. But in all, it wasn't a horrible experience. It just wasn't the place my family was hoping for.

We use this as our home campground! Sometimes spots are hard to find around big weekends, but we enjoy going and using things like the dog park putt putt in the swimming pools in the summer. We did a 10 year membership here.
