Lakeshore Family Campground

This is an absolute diamond in the rough campground! We have waited for many years to be able to camp on Monticello so this place is perfect for our family! Booking is easy and the owners are absolutely the best! Some of the nicest people you will meet who always try and accommodate you however possible! The sites are easy to pull in and set up with full hooks ups! Water access is great and the dock is really nice. Our kids and pup have had a blast the last several times we have stayed! We absolutely love this place and plan to book many times with our family!

A phenomenal experience that must be shared with others! The wife and I went for a weekend trip down to South Carolina and could not have found a more perfect vacation location to stay. The property has a breathtaking view of the lake and easy access to pull the trailer in and out of the spots. Easy check in and out. 8hr drive but we will be visiting again.

We were fortunate enough to be able to book the entire campground as a group of friends/family for a whole weekend in July. The campground is beautiful and right on the lake. The campground is clean and I felt very safe with where we were. There is a community firepit that we all sat around in the evenings that just really set the whole weekend apart! There is so much to do, or not do depending on what you like- great for relaxation or for getting out on the lake. There is a little cove where you can walk in to swim, or you can just jump off (or climb the ladder) off the dock. I am not the best photographer by any means, but the lake is just gorgeous. We only had 1 boat come near the little cove where we were the whole weekend. The campground owners are just so friendly and make you feel like a part of the family! We already booked again for a weekend in August and wish we could go before that!

Lakeshore Family Campground is an incredibly beautiful and tranquil campground owned and operated by the nicest couple. We enjoyed a fantastic two week stay this spring and couldn't have been more pleased. From the first step out of the truck, the wonderful scent of the mature lilac tree wafted with the breeze and remained our entire stay. The views are breathtaking and the lake easily accessible. Boat launches are within a mile and first class. Bring your boat and enjoy this amazing hidden gem on Lake Monticello!

We had such a great time at this beautiful campground on lake Monticello! We enjoyed campfires, smores, cookouts, cornhole and spending time with family! The views from the dock are fabulous and the moon peaking over the trees was mesmerizing! Thank you to the Bowers for sharing this wonderful place with us! We will be back to this hidden gem!
