Lakeshore RV Park Introduce

For Nebraska RV travelers, either passing through the heart of the state or seeking a quiet, full-service base camp in the charming town of Geneva, **Lakeshore RV Park** provides a solid, value-driven choice. Located on the west side of town, this small, family-owned park prides itself on offering a **clean, quiet, and peaceful** environment that is perfectly suited for self-contained RVs. While the name might suggest a large, sprawling lake, guests should note that the park features a **small pond** and is surrounded by vast Nebraska fields, providing a tranquil, country feel rather than a major waterfront destination.

The resort’s focus is on providing robust, essential services for RVers, including powerful electric and water access, and making the check-in and payment process as simple as possible. It’s an attractive little place with **mature trees** at the back of the sites, offering shade and a lovely backdrop to the fields beyond. Lakeshore RV Park is a no-frills establishment—it doesn't have a lot of "bells and whistles"—but it delivers on the core promises of cleanliness, peace, and essential connectivity, making it a reliable and pleasant stop for both quick overnights and potential long-term stays.

Location and Accessibility for Nebraska Users

Lakeshore RV Park is conveniently situated on the west side of Geneva, Nebraska, the county seat of Fillmore County. The address is **100 Walnut St, Geneva, NE 68361, USA**. Its location makes it an ideal stop-off point for travelers utilizing U.S. Highway 81, a major north-south corridor through Nebraska, and for those exploring the South Central region of the state.

Accessibility is straightforward, but local Nebraskans navigating with a large rig should heed the advice of past guests: **DON'T TAKE FOURTH STREET**. The recommended route from U.S. Hwy 81 is to head west of R ST, turn south onto **First Street** (which is paved), and then turn onto Walnut Court. Taking Fourth Street is ill-advised as it is unpaved, and the bend between Fourth and Wilson can be soggy even on a dry day, posing risks for big rigs. Once found, the park is very accessible and offers an extremely **dark environment at night**, perfect for a restful, uninterrupted sleep, accompanied only by the sounds of **frogs and crickets** from the nearby pond.

Services Offered for Fully Contained RVs

Lakeshore RV Park is specifically set up to accommodate modern, **self-contained RVs** by providing top-tier utility services directly at every spot. The park is open year-round and offers services designed for a hassle-free stay.

  • **Full Utility Hookups:** All sites are equipped with **power, sewer, and water** connections, ensuring maximum convenience for travelers.
  • **50 Amp Electrical Service:** A significant plus for large RVs, the electrical service across all sites is **50 amp**, capable of accommodating even the longest rigs.
  • **Large Site Dimensions:** Sites are approximately **80 feet long**, ensuring they can easily accommodate long RVs and motorhomes with room to spare.
  • **No Restrooms or Showers:** Crucially, the park **does not have restrooms or showers**. Guests must have **fully self-contained restroom facilities** within their RVs.
  • **Spacious Campsites:** Each site has **ample green space** on either side, allowing guests room to relax or play games outside. Sites are often located within a **well-maintained mobile home park** setting.
  • **Payment Flexibility:** Staff is helpful, and guests can pay via **online payment** (with a small transaction fee) or via **Dropbox/check/cash** upon arrival.
  • **Reservation System:** While reservations are **not required** for single-night stays, the park recommends them to secure one of the **best spots** and ensures a smooth check-in process. Extended stays require prior authorization.

Features / Highlights of the Attractive Retreat

While Lakeshore RV Park describes itself as not "fancy," its highlights are centered around the natural peace it offers and its proximity to the community of Geneva.

  • **Quiet Nights:** A major feature is the exceptionally **quiet** environment—guests didn't hear car noise until 8:30 a.m. and note the absence of lights to keep them awake.
  • **Small Pond Feature:** Immediately behind the RV park is a **small pond** where guests can watch birds and listen to the **frogs and crickets**. (Note: There are currently no fish in the pond due to an old asphalt spill, but life is returning).
  • **Communal Fire Pit:** A newly finished **communal fire pit** is available for guests who equate camping with sitting around a fire, perfect for s'mores and social evenings.
  • **Mature Trees:** The **mature trees** at the back of the sites provide welcome shade and an **attractive little place** to set up camp.
  • **Proximity to Geneva Attractions:** There is an abundance of local shops and attractions in Geneva, some within **walking distance** and others only a **short drive away**, allowing guests to easily explore the small-town charm.
  • **Long-Term Potential:** The park is friendly to **long-term rentals** and is often considered a great list of places for future use, suggesting a reliable and welcoming management style.

Where’s the lake?! There is a small pond and a lot of fields surrounding the property. Great stop for a couple of days with mature trees, quiet nights and easy navigation. Flies were terrible while we were here but maybe it’s just that time of the year. Staff was helpful and you can pay via online or Dropbox.

Nice place to get off the road. It is quiet... didn't hear any cars until 0830ish. No lights to keep you awake. Just you and the frogs and crickets. Campsites have spaces in a well maintained mobile home park. Used the GPS to find it and true to form it brought us in on the least desirable route. DON'T TAKE FOURTH STREET it's a trap for the tired and lazy :-). Instead go to first street and make the turn. First street is paved... fourth is not. In addition to the pavement issue the bend between fourth and Wilson is soggy on a dry day. You big rigs are taking chances. It is extremely dark here at night. Mature trees at the back of the sites do don't go back too far. It's actually an attractive little place. It's on my list of places to use in the future. Would consider a long term rental as well.

We travel the US going from job to job. We stayed here for several weeks! This a nice quiet little town. The campground is clean, quiet, no one bothers you. Paying for our stay was easy and convenient online and the owner is good to respond to texts. If we ever come this way again, we will definitely stay here.
