You can typically expect well-maintained restroom facilities, often including warm showers, and laundry services for longer stays. For added convenience, many Lakeside Campgrounds have dump stations for RVs. Some locations even feature a camp store stocked with essential supplies, snacks, firewood, and ice. Beyond the lake, you might discover features like hiking trails within the campground or nearby, game rooms, sports facilities such as volleyball courts or basketball hoops, and even planned weekend activities fostering a sense of community among campers. My all time favorite campground. I took my 3 daughters here 35-40 years ago nearly every weekend when it was little known and first-come, first-served. It’s much harder to camp there now, as it’s become reservation-only and you have to book it for a group but it’s still the prettiest around. Sites are on the beach, but they closed my favorite one on the hill.
If it wasn't so close to the road it would be one of the best campgrounds around. Nice, big spots right on the lake. The road noise didn't bother us but if you are looking for complete peace and quiet this might not be your bag, baby.
Great beach front campsites, large and private.
We camped here on our honeymoon 27 years ago, it has changed but it's still beautiful
Always enjoy coming to lake Alva, one of my favorites.
