Lakeside Campground - Deer Lake

Nice campground with clean pit toilets and a water tap. The staff are friendly and frequently patrol the campground. I couldn't receive a signal at my campsite, but I could get a weak signal by the lake, making it a good getaway from reality.

A wonderful location by the lake, with a well thought out layout for camping and motorhome visitors that gives sufficient privacy and views across the lake to the mountains plus a very pleasant boardwalk across a stream and marshes to another quiet beach which is manageable with a mobility scooter. There is a lot of bird and animal life around, with the lake living up to its name.

Lakeside (Deer Lake) Campground is a fantastic place to visit, located just 20 minutes away from Harrison Hot Spring Lake. The campsite is situated beside a peaceful lake and surrounded by natural beauty, providing the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of this campground is the picnic tables located close to the lake. They are covered with grasses, providing a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning views of the lake. The tranquil and serene atmosphere adds to the experience of enjoying a picnic by the water. Overall, Lakeside (Deer Lake) Campground is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping experience. The close proximity to Harrison Hot Spring Lake is a big plus, and the picnic tables close to the lake add a nice touch to the overall experience. I would definitely visit this campground again.

Beautiful location. Good size campgrounds. We got the double site and there was lots of room for everything we needed to set up. The lake is nice and close. We caught one tiny fish, catch and release. Only downside was in my opinion, there is not enough pit toilets for how many sites there are. And if you are not a fan of noise after hours, there is definitely a issue with traveling noise. You can hear other campers if they are loud and there is no late night patrols. The park staff do a great job of cleaning and keeping up on things. They are super friendly and informative. There is lots of garbage and recycling boxes. The pit toilets do have toilet paper as well. There is nice spots along the lake to sit. There is one section where the geese are, so the grass there is a no go. We left early from the insane amount of mosquitoes, like others did, but still a good spot to go.

Nice quiet campground very much right in the bush. Lake isn’t very deep can almost touch bottom everywhere. Good size campsites
