Stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. Campground was impeccably clean. Bathrooms had toilet paper! The campground host was awesome. He came around as I was setting up. I told him I was doing Mt Elbert and he kept an eye out for my return. Campsites have a picnic table, fire ring, and a grill. Ill definitely stay here again!
Absolutely loved this campground, and is located in one of my favorite areas for outdoor recreation! Excellent fly fishing, rafting, boating, hiking, and cycling are a stones throw away and the views are absolutely amazing. Our campsite was incredibly spacious and quiet, and provided some great nighttime sky gazing along with daylight panoramas which were priceless!! Only bummer was the ongoing running water situation, or lack of, especially if you have booked for a few days or more, but knowing this before we booked, made it a non issue. The campground as a whole was kept up very nicely, pit toilets always seemed clean, and our campground host, Rick, was was friendly, helpful, and was a joy to chat with. Overall, would stay here over and over, and would suggest this campground if extremely basic amenities and lack of running water aren’t an issue, and you want to be surrounded by some of the best views and recreation to be had!!
We loved our stay here!! We were in A’ loop which was the furthest set back from the lake. Therefore, no lake views but did have some gorgeous Mountain Views. The sites were well spaced and lots of trees provided shade. Some of the cleanest pit toilets I’ve seen at a campground! And the host was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Colorado, 10k Ft up in the mountains, next to Yellowstone, it's the most beautiful camping area. Lake up to n the middle of heaven, boats for rent. Unbelievable beauty with wildlife walking all about, Moose, bear, deer, Bigfoot, ect. Had a Grizzly in our camp, believe it or not. Never wanted to leave, but they close for winter.
Wonderful campground. Close enough to the lakes for lake things, and literally on the trail for hiking things. F loop and the loops on the south side have views of the lake and the mountains the best. Good space between sites for privacy. No running water - might have at one point. Dogs can be here leashed. Plenty of trees and general camp stuff. Fire pits have grills, while also having charcoal grills. Standard campsite table. Outhouses for.. yes.
