Lakeview Campground and RV Park offers a scenic camping experience with beautiful lake views. Guests have praised the friendly and helpful camp host, who provides excellent assistance, especially with navigation and site setup. The bathhouse is noted for its cleanliness and ample supplies.
Key features and amenities include:
- Gravel-surfaced sites with fire pits and picnic tables.
- A clean and well-stocked bathhouse with hot showers.
- A playground for children.
- A walking trail around the lake.
- Covered picnic tables.
- On-site firewood sales.
- Laundry facilities (1 washer, 1 dryer).
While the campground offers many positive features, guests should be aware of potential noise from a nearby train, which passes approximately 6 to 8 times every 24 hours. Once a nearby bridge is updated the noise will be less. Additionally, some sites may not be perfectly level. It is recommended to stay in lower-numbered sites away from the tracks and bridge. The campground also features grassy areas, and tent camping is planned for the rear of the park.
Navigation to the campground at night can be challenging via Google Maps, but the camp host is known to provide assistance. It is recommended to take the long way around, which is paved. A map and reservation information are available on their website.
Overall, Lakeview Campground and RV Park provides a pleasant camping experience with friendly service and scenic views, despite some minor inconveniences.

Customer Reviews
The location was a bit hard to see in the dark via Google maps BUT the camp host came out and got us back on track and helped us get backed in to our spot. The bath house was very clean and well stocked. The sites were all graveled with good fire pits and picnic tables. They even had a decent play space for younger campers. Will use them again when we’re in the area again.
Once the bridge is updated the noise won't be too bad. The train passes 6 to 8 times every 24 hours and can be pretty intense. Sites could be a bit more level as well. Park is full grass and looks like tent camping is coming soon to the rear of the park. The walking trail around the lake is nice. Covered picnic tables and nice little playground for kids. 1 washer 1 dryer. Hot showers. The camp host was very nice. Firewood sold on site. Take the long way around that is paved. The map is on the website we're you can also make your reservations. Stay in the lower number site away from the tracks and bridge.
This is a beautiful small (22 spots) campground, with a bike/walking trail all the way around the lake. Affordable prices. Very clean and the Camp host was very friendly and helpful. The only reason for 4 stars on location is the bridge being out and lack of good signage for the detour.
The park itself is nice enough, clean, wide spaces, covered picnic table at each site and a nice playground for kids. We just stayed one night. Do NOT take the gravel road they suggest to enter, it will beat your rig to death! We have a 33 Class A, and those 2 miles took us forever we had to go so slow. You cannot use the bridge either, so take the long way around.
We stayed here one night as we were passing through town, and it ended up being our favorite place in our 2.5 week trip across the country. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, plenty of room to play, quiet, and clean. Beautiful country setting. The train didn't bother us at night time since we sleep with a fan on. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful campground; clean showers, helpful camp hosts, nice playground plus a group campfire area. Everything is kept up spotless. Great price!! Highly recommend. *** the only caveat is the bridge is out from town and you have to make a big loop to go in from the back way. (Take Hwy D to hwy KK. Go north to W 208th St. It will turn into Raum Rd. Stay on that and it’ll be on the left) But I’ll say, it’s worth it!!
The city and the camp hosts take great care of this RV park. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked, the firewood is always available, the grounds are always clean, they make sure the campers aren't problem campers, the playground is great for my boys, and the hosts are helpful with everything! Loved having a washer and dryer while we were here and hot showers during the winter! We're going back every winter!
I would have given a 10, but our site #1 was awful steep. I am not sure it should even be a site, unless they build it up to a more level place. Our rv stroked out in the front, and it was still not level. Other than that, it is a very nice, clean campground w'a nice playground and a lake nearby that have a paved/gravel path all the way around. There is a frisbee gold course that is well maintained. Our crew caught quite a few bass in the lake.
