Whether you're traveling with your family, friends, or solo camping, Lakeview Campground provides a welcoming environment that cater to diverse needs.
One of the standout features of Lakeview Campground is its proximity to the lake, offering stunning views and direct access to water-based activities. The campground’s setting in a quiet rural area ensures a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life while still being close enough to essential amenities and attractions.
At Lakeview Campground, you’ll find a range of services designed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The campground provides all necessary facilities for both tent camping and RV stays, ensuring that every guest has access to the resources they need. The older but still well-maintained bathrooms at Lakeview Campground are clean and functional, meeting the basic needs of campers while maintaining a rustic charm.
One unique feature of Lakeview Campground is its single set of swings located within the grounds, providing a fun spot for children to play and enjoy their time outdoors. This family-friendly aspect makes it an ideal destination for parents looking for a safe and engaging environment for their kids. However, visitors should note that while the campsites are spaced out, they may not offer as much privacy between neighbors as some other campgrounds.
Lakeview Campground’s location offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. The lakefront setting makes it a prime spot for fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the scenic views. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and exploring nature, with plenty of trails and parks nearby. For those seeking adventure, there are also options for water sports and other recreational activities in the vicinity.
When visiting Lakeview Campground, it’s important to be mindful of your surroundings and the natural environment. While the campground is well-maintained, visitors should take care to preserve the beauty of the area by following proper waste disposal procedures and respecting local wildlife.
Customer feedback highlights both the positive aspects of Lakeview Campground and areas for improvement. Many guests appreciate the clean bathrooms, stunning lake views, and family-friendly amenities such as the swings. The sense of community among campers is also a notable highlight, with many visitors feeling welcomed and connected during their stay.
However, some reviews have pointed out challenges, such as the presence of Mayflies during certain times of the year. While these insects are harmless, they can be an annoyance and may limit outdoor activities. It’s advisable to check weather patterns and seasonality when planning your visit to avoid potential disruptions.
Lakeview Campground is a great choice for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Minnesota’s natural landscapes while enjoying modern amenities and family-friendly services. With its serene environment, proximity to water-based activities, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s no wonder that many visitors return year after year.

Customer Reviews
Camp ground, staff, access to the lake.. everything great, but bugs - Mayflies. I’m not sure these bugs are always there, but the thousands of Mayflies were constantly falling from the woods like literally rain when I was there (July 2023). It was horrible.. They don’t harm, but are really annoying. It was very challenging to do something outside of the tent. I don’t have enough courage to go there again..
This is a very nice park, the bathrooms are older but still in good condition. Great views of the lake. The sites don't provide a ton of privacy, I would suggest the other campground if you are looking to be more spaced out from your neighbors. There is one set of swings in the Lakeview Campground for the kids to play on. The entrance to the bathrooms faces the east, anything to the west of the building doesn't get much of any ambient light at night.
Very nice and up to date camp grounds. Would definitely recommend.
Like others have said, if you want privacy this is not the place. But I don't mind since a majority of the campers are very poilet. Outer ring has a little more privacy than the inner but the inner gets more sun light than the outer ring. Camp site was fine. Not too big or too little and had everything I needed. Park staff and rangers were all super cool.
Nice that it is near the lake , but definitely cramped and not secluded especially the inner ring.
