The owner of the private campground Dave and Kathy Platt and there family have been perfect host for us as camping companions. There are approximately over 80 spots inside the grounds and if you have the opportunity to find a opening camp spot to settle into. You will have fun and uplifting atmosphere.
It used to be a quiet place but it's turning over to younger families with children. And that's ok, :) Still a nice place to have a spot away from home near a boat launch. A place to keep your boat. You pay electric, and mowing if you don't do it yourself.
How do you contact them to rent a spot? Can't rate unless I can check the place out first. Phone number that comes up is no good and their Facebook page does not load
I grew up camping here with my family and cousins. My uncle David and aunt Kathy have owned this campground for decades. I am happy I was able to bring my kids down to see family and enjoy the campground.
Seemed nice, it was late and I didn't get to see much but it was quiet and peaceful
