Very nice campground. Plenty of water fill up points that are not shown on the map. Turnarounds look terrifyingly small, but I was easily able to navigate with my 35' travel trailer. Wooded, but enough sunlight for a solar panel to keep batteries topped off (I stayed in non-electric site). Will definitely return.
Extremely nice campground. We stayed on site 19. It was non-electric, but the views were spectacular. The site hosts were fantastic and helpful. Water was available to fill your tanks and the facilities were very, very clean. We will absolutely return.
30 miles from town of Gunnison, 20 mile climb up the mountain ... Majestic scenery Abundant wildlife Perfect fall weather all summer. 68 sites total.. Only about 20 sites with electric..no sewer. No water hookup but water available at certain locations..dump station 5 miles away, costs 8.00 to dump. The hosts Mickey and Crystal Are super friendly. And helpful. And they keep the place very clean.
Great stay at LGC! First, the scenery is beautiful! At the campground, across the street at the lake, up Cottonwood Pass, up the road to TinCup, and down to Taylor River; all around. Second, the campground itself was just what we needed. Stayed in #9, and it had a flat pad for a tent, ample space next to the raised firepit, picnic table, and we nestled the camper in the pine trees. The bathrooms were throughout our stay, and the hostess was friendly and kept us informed of any possible animal sightings. Had no issues with this campground, other than it is far from KCMO!!
A beautiful drive to a gorgeous wooded campground, the reservoir and miles of offroad trails. Boat rentals at the marina, razor rentals at the outpost. A mountian playground where the bears roam and the fish are biting. Highly reccomend!
