Public restroom
Running water
Good for kids
Cool spot, the restrooms are clean and useful. Plenty of room for 20-30 vehicles to spread out. Nobody was here when I visited in early March. The roads were all in great condition.
Very nice location with a nice drive up from jawbone canyon. There was some snow getting up here in the Sequoia National Forest. We were the only people here camping. There was no wind in the evening which was perfect because it was a cold night, so come prepared with your layers, socks, warm shoes, and buddy heater. The night sky was beautiful with a clear sky full of stars. It was nice to have peace and quite. This is a great place to walk/hike and explore. This morning we woke up with frozen condensation inside of our tent. The water in the root pack was frozen, but the water in the water cooler surprisingly was not. Even the baby wipes were frozen 😂. We will be back.
Beautiful Campground hidden in the Kern County.. Perfect for all weather conditions, even in high wind. Nice clean vaulted restroom and firewood allowed.
I like the fact how remote this campground is coming up from hwy14 up Jawbone canyon. On site restroom/outhouse clean and functional. Very disappointed at how careless people are by not respecting the marked trails and just cutting new trails.
Great campground. No fee, a nearby spring, pit toilets. Quiet and out of the way, a destination for off road motorcyclists. Dirt roads going in can be a bit rough. Not recommended for RVs or trailers.
