I have lived nearby and fished these lakes since I was young and in high school but I have never witnessed anyone being rude until recently I called to ask if I could launch a pontoon boat. First they tell me the price is $7. When I asked if the launch is big enough for a pontoon boat, then she asked if I was just going to launch it and go for a pontoon ride. I wanted to answer no I plan on spending the night on the pontoon!. Really? What kind of question is that? Then she ups the price to $10. I'll keep my $10 and go watch it for free somewhere else that has a lot better fishing cause the lakes are questionable at that!
Nice, quiet campground. Friendly owner, nice little store and can rent boars to go fishing
Owner of park had no remorse after speaking to her on not being able to use the lot we paid $400 a month for after terrential rain fall. It is apparent she has no drainage system and no concrete pad for this lot. I paid $800 for the month of May and June. I asked for a reimbursement for the June’s rent because i can’t walk to my door without walking through 6-8 inches of standing water which will be at least a couple of weeks before the water recedes. The rain is not her fault but her actions are. I would not recommend this resort after the way we were treated by carol larson. If I could post pics of what my campsite looks like right now on this review I certainly would. I have several. I will never stay or recommend this resort to anyone.
My favorite place ever. Wonderful firework show done by locals if you go out on the water the weekend of July 4th.
Beverages and snacks. Open year-round. Camping and boating available in the Summer. Run by Carol Larson, a sweet but pragmatic lady who keeps herself busy with various projects when customer traffic is sparse, but welcomes everyone into her store with a smile, a story, and sometimes even a hug.
