This is a lovely campground with spectacular views of desert landscapes. Clean, easy to park, and the good value for the money. Restrooms are clean. Clean. We only stayed here one night on our way home but have made a note to come by again.
This is my favorite campground at Lake Mead. It has flush toilets, some shade, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, a dump station, trash dumpsters, and potable water. The views of the Las Vegas Wash are incredible. That water draws a variety of wildlife, including Roadrunners and coyotes.
Rooms are not a thing at camp ground lol. Register at rec .gov checked in after 4pm just coming from Hoover dam this is great spot. No showers. But quite.
The campground was beautiful. I stayed in the loop where no generators are allowed so it was much more peaceful than the other loops. When I first arrived, there was potable water available at the dump station, but some folks started working on the potable water station and when I left on 12/9/24 the hose was disconnected and no potable water was available. I hope they finish fixing it very soon!
Fun camping spot. Not over crowded at all, and we can usually find an open spot during most any time of the year, especially in the very Hot or very Cold months. Many spots open. There is some fun hiking trails which begin directly at this camping location. One is called Bluff Trailhead. Another starts at the bottom of the (former) boat ramp, which is the road you came in on (to this camp site), if you go straight instead of turn left. It used to be marked on Google maps, but it was removed for some reason. It is an easy, fun, picturesque trail which ends at the Owl Canyon trailhead, which is another long, easy, and fun hike through a natural slot canyon. There are 2 large restroom facilities, lots of overflow parking, and some cool places to walk to down by the river even if you don't feel like doing too much. And very dog friendly. There is a campground host located near the end of the spaces available.
