First visit with a 26-foot camper. The owner was super nice and extremely helpful. Delivered our wood and catered to our every need. Took a 3 service package for 2 nights. Total was 127 tax in. Free wifi with perfect signal, which was nice. We had lot #50. Decent view of the playground to watch the kids from our lot and the "lake," which was disappointing. It was more like a 60ft x 60ft foggy pond, which wasn't appealing to go swimming or even soak our feet in, but on the bright side, there were ducks every day. Ratings : 1. Service : 10/10 lady was super nice and quick on service. 2. Bathrooms : 10/10 clean and renovated 3. Lot : 6/10 clean and practical. No privacy from neighbors. Could hear the highway that is close. Backside of lot gave on to someone's property. 4. Lake and beach : 1/10 5. Playground: 2/10 No guard rails on jungle gym. Looks like it was from the 60s. Dirty sand. 6. Activities : 3/10 volleyball/badminton court and bocce court were in decent shape virtually unused. Cool little hiking trail around the camp ground deeper into the woods was fun to explore but was done in 45 minutes, and that was with a 2 year old that stops for everything. The end of the trail gave onto the route 117 and a bar. Could be rewarding for a cold one after the hike. Aside from the playground and skipping rocks on the pond, there is Santa's village within a 5 minute drive, which was fun for the kids but crazy expensive. If not, you have "Le pays des merveilles" and a drive-in theater that looked decent, but everything was in French. Overall it was a cute little town and friendly. Not much to do but good for one night stop.
Review after two seasons: we will miss the place. Staff is friendly, always helpful, and goes the extra steps to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. "No stress" is the motto. The village of Val-David is fantastic and rustic. Lac Raymond is not far, and there are miles and miles of hiking and biking. Kayaking is awesome, too. We made many new friends and we will be back for sure. P.S.: Francis, ton Anglais et meilleur que mon Français ;)
We stayed here just over a week and we had a really lovely time. The place is quiet, internet is good, slightly forested, sites were big enough, there is a playground and swim pond. The new owners are really sweet (new since Nov 2021). Val-David is so close, such a great little town. So much art and restaurants. We look forward to coming back again!
clean bathrooms, nice camping spots...what more do you need,
Friendly laid back staff. The campground is relatively small which is nice you can walk around. The have a modest kids "park" washing machines 2.50 for wash 2.50 to dry. Bathrooms were clean. Down side is your right off the highway and the trucks and morning traffic are loud. At one point a truck slammed on its breaks and oh my the sound it made I thought the world was coming to an end. And your really close to your neighbor. I mean I could hear them talking and taking a pee in morning.
