Great place for a picnic, or too spend time camping. The views were spectacular, and the lava rock was just crazy. Formation along one entire side driving into the campground. Beautiful place!

Literally right next to the Davis lake volcanic field lava flow, didn’t stay here but drove by it and I can say it looks awesome, relatively good terrain for the not-so-athletic people, looks to be some nice hiking trails around the lake and the actual lava flow itself, nice views around it, not many cascade major peaks around here for those that are adamant about mountain climbing in Oregon, still a good pick for campers.

A nice quiet place to camp, lava flow through the campground, a few camp sites with tables and fire pit for when in season, no camp host, requires responsible campers... It's a small campground and being put in the woods, is subject to nature coming down into the campground, spent the night hearing coyotes in the distance, past trips I've had cougars come down into the campground, may even get a black bear... Other wildlife in the area and such... Never had an issue with the wildlife in the area and I tent camp... Not a lake I would ever swim in, have canoed it a bit, a fly fishing lake where it's not very deep, very muddy though and limited to no cell service....
