Start with this. I had a few questions about camping protocol. They answered them so I was prepared to be a good neighbor. Had deluxe cabin which was clean on arrival. Was able to check in early. Propane grill with propane attached. Fire bowl was handy. Air conditioner worked as did everything else. Campground clean and an easy walk to hot springs baths or a local bar. Eruption brewing worth the price. Sunken Gardens very peaceful. Don’t heed the review complaints about the train, way outweighed by peaceful sounds of the waterfalls on the river. Bring some Yard Guard bug spray and your own linens. Will stay again
This KOA is one of the prettiest a most clean out of all of their locations I've been. The lady of the check-in desk was very rude. I don't want to even get into my personal thoughts about it. I would have stayed a second night, just didn't like how I got treated at check-in . The nearby train, literally right across the street, was not very loud at all. They crept and then out of town very quietly a few times during the night. My van is very well insulated with Sound dampering materials. The only time I knew the train was pacing was when I was walking the dogs to the dog park or going to the bathroom/shower room. This campground has great water pressure, very clean bathrooms and a lot of hotwater. Water made my hair feel great. Not sure if they are getting their water directly from the hot spring, I didn't ask. The water quality was great. Dog park very clean, that is great responsibility too. Glad to see other camping people cleaning up after their pets Lodging is available from cabins to deluxe tini-homes. Last but definitely not least the views are great.
Lots of shade, less than half of the sites booked as it's off-season (Sept). Well maintained, and the new cabins are very nice as well. Our cabin was very clean, with no bugs (an obvious plus!). We were next to the main road (30) and train track side but no complaints about the traffic, honestly (even though the semis are a constant). And since we'd just ridden a few hundred miles on the bike, we slept through the night like a couple of ancient rocks. The small river behind the campground is beautiful, too! We have had a very positive experience and we would stay here again :) PS: Bailey the Travel Pup says hi 🐾
Really enjoyed this KOA campground! There are lots of RV spots on the river and a walking trail to town from the campground! We walked over to the hot springs ❤️ site 100 was really nice. This campground also had super clean showers/bathrooms. The KOA employee was very friendly at check-in.
Great place! Loved the shade trees and grass! So glad they watered it for us. The proximity to the river is fun. They do charge for every little thing you need. I wish there were more friendly smiles but the construction on new cabins probably kept them busy. Loved the accommodation. Will return
We took a last minute trip with our travel trailer. We booked the patio site about an hour before we got there. Staff was amazing. We had a back in river front site. They have concrete patios with a nice fire bowl and table and chairs. Our site was fairly level side to side but the pitch front to back was not. It really sloped toward the tongue area. We were glad we brought an extra block for the tongue jack to sit on. There is a nice pet area and play area for kids in the upper section. If you are in the river front area, you have plenty of fishing options. The cabins look beautiful and there are plenty to choose from. The bathrooms were spotless and same for the showers. My husband was carrying trash to the trash containers and staff asked if they could take care of it for him. They keep the place very clean. There is a nice group picnic area by the laundry room and there are extra bathrooms at the other end of the campground. The only negative would be the trains going by at all hours, even during the night. They have a nice walking path to go to town but it was closed while road work was being done. We will definitely be back.
Stayed here for a weekend away with my husband. It was so romantic the view of the snake river. The town has such a unique charm. The cabins were wonderful right next to the amazing Thai food! We got to walk right to the Hot Springs. The town is small and so we were able to walk The whole town and back to our cabin. I would recommend to others and definitely I'll be back!
Really a very nice park. We spent 4 nights in the office season and it was only us in half of the park for most of the time. It would have gotten 5 stars across the board if not for the near constant sound of freight trains and Jake brakes. You kinda get used to the noise though. Until bedtime. Staff was fantastic to work with and amenities were top notch! Will probably go back again if we're ever in the area.
This place is amazing and well kept. It is by a busy highway and trains go by often, but personally I didnt mind that really. The only problem I had is when we reserved it online it asked us about our RV length, number of guests and if any pets. We put in our info including the 3 dogs we have and when we got there to check in they charged us thirty percent more than told on website just for having dogs with us. If your going to charge more for pets that's fine but don't wait to tell after driving to there, put all fee's in the website booking so people know exactly what we're paying for. I was so mad for that reason we only stayed night then left next morning. If you have pets just prepared for a possible extra fee on arrival unless they've fixed the issue already.
