We did 2 separate camping trips here in summer of 2024, absolutely loved it here! The view alone is worth the drive. Fishing, kayaking, boat rentals, swimming, we did it all! The owners and staff were all very nice and very helpful. The store is stocked with pretty much everything you'll ever need in a pinch. Fishing was great, caught our limit of trout. We'll be back!

Lava Lake is gorgeous, and the resort offers so many family oriented fun things to do. Make your reservations early, grab the family, and come to Lava Lake Resort to have fun and make amazing memories! A big thank you to the staff that make this all possible and are so welcoming!!!

Possibly the most amazing view of the Three Sisters mountains you will find. Run by a wonderful family who are beyond friendly and helpful. The fishing is on point, and there are different kinds of boats and paddle boards for rent. The campground is well kept and peaceful. Don't miss this absolute gem!

Wonderful little spot to spend a few hours, rent a kayak (or book a pontoon!). Red Wing blackbirds dot the marshy shoreline, their calls a wonderful backdrop to the sound of water lapping up against the quaint and rickety dock. Cute resort lodge with some classic campsite nick-knacks and the obligatory good-behavior ice cream treats. The oversized Connect-Four game in the resort's front lawn was hard to pass up but weren't in a competitive mood. Campsites seemed a-okay, although your kids may wonder when they can go swim in Elk Lake.

I checked this out a couple of weeks ago and found a charming rustic store right on the waterfront. Accommodation available and necessary items in the store, no hot food but plenty to eat. Very nice proprietor.
