The people were great, we had no issues there. We didn't play the disc golf course, but it was a pretty and slightly challenging hike. There were clothes left behind the bed from someone else, the highway noise was actually quite loud, and the propane grill had so much buildup in the bottom it would barely light and couldn't boil water; luckily I had brought a skillet to cook in.
The yurts are fun and a unique lodging experience! A friend and I stayed in the Torrey's Yurt and it was great. There was a bunk bed and cot, sheets in bags (which felt cleaner) for us to make our beds, blankets, and folding tables/chairs. Their website is transparent about the roadside noise, separate bathrooms/showers, and potential for cold temperatures (a propane and electric heater were provided), as well. The trek from the yurt to the bathroom can be a little tough when it's cold and snowy out, it may be helpful for the Lawson crew to line the paths with more solar powered pathway/walkway lights, but the bathrooms/showers are in a heated building which is a very pleasant amenity. Overall, loved our visit!
Very nice people they were very accommodating when we had to change yurts because we had an extra night. My only complaint is that there was no easy way for us to get our stuff to our cabin they had the path locked off and the very last day when we are moving out they had the main entrance down the hill blocked off so we had to go around the cabins a far way to get to her car.
This was my first white water rafting trip and I had a great time! The guides were all really cool and the trip went smoothly. I also felt very safe and comfortable in the raft. I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with Lawsons.
I came here with my mom and dog and had a great time. There was great service that checked us in. There were two downsides. The first was the WiFi was kinda bad, at least from my yurt. I had to stand next to the door to get wifi. Also the noise from the road was kinda loud but my yurt was far enough away that you didn’t really notice. It was dog friendly and I could just walk outside for my dog to go potty. They also had a nice bathroom that was just a walk away from our yurt. The temperature was adjust on a wall space heater. It definitely wasn’t too hot and since it was winter when I came I could heat up the room easily with the heater.
