I love this place, the staffs are friendly and welcoming. Crabbing is pretty decent of you know what to look for. I love the fact that you can park, camp and cast your crab snare. You can get crabs during low tides, high tides. Family environment and if you go on the weekends it's pretty much packed, I like to go during the weekdays. Less crowded and more chance of catching them Dungies.

We booked this place last minute online thinking we were going to tent camp on the beach. There is sand hills that block the view of the ocean so you’re not beach camping. To get to the beach you have to hike a little bit. When we went it was rainy and gloomy and we still got charged 65$ for one night. We missed the turn into the campsites so they need a map or signs that point to the campground. A map would be best also so you can locate the water spigots. We couldn’t find them and the fog didn’t help. But the pluses are that they have camp fire rings and we saw deer at night that are friendly. Porta john’s were clean. But yea, steep price for what you’re paying for!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE TENT CAMPING! The campsites are extremely close together. No privacy whatsoever. They do not have real bathrooms only porta potties which were disgusting. If you have one of the campsites near the porta potty then that is all you could smell the whole time. Our fire ring was super far in the ground and completely filled to the top with ash so that it was unusable, and we had planned on cooking over the fire. The water spigot was surrounded by this metal gate for some reason making it extremely hard to use. On google/apple maps it seems like the camp site would be over looking the ocean, but that is not true. There is a big sand hill between the ocean and the campsites so you can't see or even hear the ocean from the campsites. You have to hike over the hill to get to the ocean which is definitely not accessible for older people or disabled people. It was also super windy and our tent almost flew away (we did stake it down but the ground at the campsites is sand so the stakes don't really stay in). If you have an RV with your own bathroom and don't mind being super super close to your neighbors then you may like this campsite. Otherwise... avoid!

As mentioned in the previous posts, it's sad and ridiculous that they charge $15.00 for a day pass for visitors to visit us! We paid over $100 for a camp site with "electricity" which BTW, is 20 amp, not 30-- just FYI. In addition to this, they have this rule about "1' vehicle per site which I get in order to keep the number of cars down however, we had plenty of room in our particular site # 507, for another car and they wouldn't let our son park there overnight. AND.....they charged us $45.00 penalty for letting him stay there. How greedy is right. The boy at the front shack looked up our campsite, said we could pay $15. to have him park with us but didn't say he couldn't stay the night--bad communication. Also they charge you for the electricity you use--**ON TOP OF THE $120 you pay per night**. Seriously? What did the $120 cover, the dirt? Talk about greed and nickle and diming you to death. This was our first visit, we will never return. But I'm sure they don't care because people will continue to go and pay these ridiculous fees. Just beware! The noise rules weren't enforced either.

It's a great place for camping or RVs, but the bathrooms are porta potties (seemed to be well taken care of). There's no RV hookups, so you're boon docking, which is good for those preferring little added amenities. There's a rule that the generators need to be off by 9, but many people had theirs on well past midnight and flood lights on all night (disturbing to those sleeping in tents). Many rules are not enforced by other parents and the staff, many young kids riding electric motorcycles and golf carts that shouldn't be and driving way too fast.

If i could rate it lower I would. Bought a day pass to pitch a tent and hang on the beach with my pooch, im visually impaired and cannot read below a certain size print. After I park in a spot big enough for my tent I head to the beach to relax in the sun and breeze with my dog. Barely an hour in a male employee with long brown hair walks up and berates me for parking in the wrong spot (the guy at the admission stand said nothing about reserved parking, and there is no signage anywhere that says reserved or do not park). The emplyee didnt look like he was over 18, rudely speaking down to me that i should “use context” which doesnt even make sense in this case. He informs me that it says certain spots are reserved on the day pass that i was told to put on my windshield. After i get home i have my girlfriend check and apparently it does say that in fine print. What great customer service to come berate someone who drove 2 hours to enjoy himself on his day off. Im sorry that i am visually impaired and that your staff cannot accommodate or give proper customer service. They could at least put reserved signs in the spots that are reserved. The employee could’ve just asked nicely for me to move and explain i misunderstood instead he berates me like a little twat and talks down to me about how i should know better and how “i should read the context of rvs being parked” which didn't even make sense, my dude your the employee i dont work there i dont hang out at RV parks idk the rules you do! all you have to do is say some spots are reserved but he was so rude and nasty. After that extremely unpleasant interaction i go back to the admission to request refund, dorian refunded my day pass, i requested to speak to a manager to explain what happened and request they offer visually impaired assistance I'm the future. Dorian informed me the boss “william vogel” isn't a big phone guy he doesn't like people calling him…. Holy crap… will be contacting my lawyer to see what can be done to get a gold of someone and implement handicapped assistance. Dont waste your time like i did, 2 hour drive to get talked down to by some loser rv employee that from the “context” of our conversation probably didn’t graduate high school otherwise he’d probably understand what context means. Go elsewhere if you value your time and money.

The number one place to call with my family!! We spend most of our summer camping out there and catching halibut. Can't wait for our first camp of the season.
