Lazy Days Campground presents a mix of positive experiences and management concerns, as reflected in customer reviews. Many visitors appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere, particularly the weekend events during the fall, such as the Halloween party and haunted trail. The campground also features a large sand pit, a field for dog walks, and a lake with a swimming area and fishing docks. Bike rentals, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats are available, and the on-site market provides convenient access to supplies. The staff is generally described as polite and helpful, and they were accommodating to visitors with specific needs, such as parking work vehicles. The enforced 5 mph speed limit is appreciated by some for safety reasons, but it has also been a source of contention for others. The campground offers grass sites, which may present challenges for leveling RVs, and some sites have multiple fire pits that can be obstacles. The shower facilities require quarters and are described as basic but clean. However, some reviewers have reported negative experiences with management, particularly regarding speed limit enforcement and perceived unfair treatment. Potential visitors should weigh the positive aspects of the campground's amenities and activities against the reported management issues and consider their own preferences and priorities.

But if you prioritize consistent management and paved sites, you may want to consider alternative locations.

Customer Reviews
We originally booked for only a week(last minute booking) , and after reading the reviews debated cancelling our reservations all together. I’m so glad we didn’t! Our family ended up staying for 3 weeks from Sep-Oct. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that it’s way more likely for a person to leave a negative review than a positive- so sometimes you don’t know what’s posted out of frustration as a jab at the campsite and what’s truly just feedback regarding campground. So here’s my unbiased experience and opinion. We loved the weekend events for Fall including a Halloween party & Haunted trail that was so much fun for us and our pre teens. The park was clean and fun for our 4 year old. She especially loved the giant sand pit! There’s also a very large field attached to the park that our dog loved to explore. (Would be perfect to fence in for a dog park) The Beach area is small but has a nice area to swim (weather permitting- it was a bit cold during our visit). We mostly enjoyed the fishing docks! This campground is huge! So bikes came in handy for getting around. If you don’t have bikes- they rent them by the hour at the market/office. (You can also rent kayaks, canoes or paddle boats) The front market is great and super convenient! My kids loved stopping in for candy lol Kudos to all of the staff we encountered during our 3 week stay. Everyone was polite. Always helpful. They were so accommodating when my husband needed to park his work truck on site. (We traveled here for his job). That to us was one of the biggest perks, as his work truck is a necessity. The 5mph is enforced. They tell you this upon arrival- and honestly it gave us so much peace of mind knowing no one would be speeding past our kids as they road their bike around the campground. Even if it was sometimes painful to roll at that speed 😂. Still not a big deal. Showers take quarters. One quarter = 10 mins of water. Bathrooms and shower houses were maintained. Nothing fancy- but definitely not filthy. We stayed in area D of the campground. We loved our spot. We saw herons fly over daily to land in the field by the park. It was quiet and clean. Close to laundry, shower houses, the park and a dumpster. Our spot was mostly level (all spots are grass not graveled or paved) but had like 5 fire pits dugout which made parking a 36ft camper slightly challenging as we were trying to dodge them. But we managed and then proceeded to fill in a couple of them to avoid tripping over them. Overall we loved it here at LazyDays. We will likely be in the area again next year and hope to get to visit again for some of their summer activities! Take these reviews with a grain of salt. Check it out for yourself - there’s no perspective like your own. Happy Camping 🏕️
Nice place. A little outdated, but mostly very friendly people. This was a nice quiet retreat for my wife and myself. We had our 1 year old lab with us, and enjoyed the others with dogs too. Need to edit this review after my wife came clean with me regarding conversations she had wirh management. The original review was 4 stars. I work nearby and we enjoy a week of camping while I work during the day. The park has a 5 mph speed limit. I was warned 1 time for going 7. I have a digital dash in my work truck. Wife received a nasty call the next day saying I was speeding again( this time I KNOW that I never exceeded 5mph. Just talked with my wife about a week this year, only to be told we are kicked out of the park. Unreal. I will make sure anyone that inquires about nearby camping hears our story.
Our family has been camping here for over 20 years. We absolutely love it. My son just proposed to his girlfriend this weekend at the campground while the whole family was there. He wanted some place that had a lot of good memories. Thank you to the staff for being so nice and welcoming to our guests who also drove up for the day to witness the special event! Highly recommend Lazy Days for a wonderful family outing! Bathroom updates are beautiful. Rental trailers are always clean and comfy! Andy is super helpful with anything you need and the ladies in the office are always extremely friendly.
This place has a lot of potential and it does look like they're working on some things but overall we did not enjoy our stay. From the filthy bathrooms, electric and water site without electric, gravel parking spot or a fire ring , mini golf course not kept up at all (crass clipping covering the whole course looks like it was that way for a long time), Grass not cut at all in some spots. we went and played at the park with the kids and some of the equipment was not even anchored to the ground, the showers did not work at all over all looked like the years have taken a toll on this camp ground, and some of the seasonal campers as well. I would say it looks more like a trailer park then a camp ground. I did give it two stars as the people here went above and beyond and were supper friendly with us and our two boys. however that being said I would not recommend taking your family here at all.
After 4 years of being a seasonal with no problems we were told to get out in 5 days because my husband gave one of them “attitude “ after she went back on something we were told and he was very upset about it. And wanted to discuss why she changed her mind about something that was important to us. Didn’t care what a financial bind it put us in besides my husband had to takeoff of work the whole week without any notice, to pull up stakes. Of course, They don’t refund the money that was paid up till the end of the season . Very mean. They decide who the rules apply to. My son said when he would come to visit, they were always rude to him when he would come into register. As far as the campground, when it’s not raining, it’s a dust bowl. When it does rain, it’s a big messy swamp. The playground is terrible. They took the miniature golf out. There’s not much for the kids to do. I think they have their hands full and they just don’t know how to manage things anymore…….i am editing this after lazy days replied to it. The reply was very exaggerated on everything that was said. Some of it simply not true. And to say we probably owed them money for having 2 boats on shore at times, when I commented about how we wouldn’t get a refund for almost 6 weeks that was paid up , that is so far from the truth and they know that but stated it like it’s the truth.8 days before this you nicely reminded us to get the one boat off which we did. The other one was paid for. if someone takes the site, they get double paid for one site. I’m glad to be gone except I’ll miss my neighbors who were all shocked that this happened. When someone else can park their boat on their site for the weekend but we get HOLLERED at for putting ours on our site just to wash it for an hour. Something’s not right there. I noticed the good reviews are from several years ago and the bad ones are from several months ago if that’s any indication.
