Lazy Dayz Resort is frequently praised for its laid-back atmosphere and scenic views. Guests always mention how relaxing their stay is, making it a top choice for a peaceful vacation. While we haven’t been there ourselves, it’s clear this resort is a gem in the area!
This place has officially became our yearly family vacation spot!🫶🏽 So grateful for this place, the views, the food, so many things to do, and the cabins are nice and were kept extremely cool!☺️ My family and I were just in awe the entire time. The people are friendly and welcoming! Thank you so much for letting us create forever memories with our son! The pool especially, like who gets to swim and look at the lake the same time?!? The restaurant had amazing drinks, food and service! Cannot wait to come back next year and bring more family! 😄
Had family reunion this weekend, cabins are beautiful, everything you need in the kitchen was available. love the redecorated bar, live music Saturday night was awesome. The new shop looks awesome too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have different size cabins available. I would highly reccommend for family gatherings/reunion.
We just came back from a week-long family vacation with our adult kids and their famiies. There were 20 of us (10 adults & 10 kids) in Cabin 6 and it was perfect for our group! The kitchen was great with two refrigerators and stoves. The beds, pillows, and bedding were very comfortable. The A/C worked great. There was a minor maintenance issue which they took care of instantly. We spent a lot of time at the pool and on the dock with the slide, but the resort was also close enough to other activities such as Bridal Cave, mini golf, and boat/jetski rentals to make them possible. We definitely hope to do another trip there in the next couple of years!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Lazy Dayz. We rented Lodge C which also can adjoin to Center Lodge and also Lodge A(one building split into 3 adjoining accomodations) Our accomodations had 3 bedrooms, each with 3 queen beds for a total of 6 queen beds and also a pull out couch. The main level had 1 bedroom and a half bath, while the upper level had 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. We had my wife and I, plus our 6 kids. As well as a couple of our friends and some of their teenage kids. We liked that the room had free wifi, which is something we aren't used to with our normal "glamping" accomodations. We also liked that there was a flat screen TV with Roku, with several apps already logged in/included. Full size refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker (no dishwasher). We absolutely loved that almost everything we needed was provided, which we also are not used to with our glamping trips. Bath towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, pots, pans, eating utensils, cooking utensils, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, coffee, coffee filters, cups, plates, bowls, strainer, knives, etc all available. We liked that the room has nicer countertops and a large sink for washing dishes. The bedrooms were all a decent size and we never felt cramped, even with 12 of us staying there. There was a nice patio outside with a propane grill and a picnic table as well as a metal fire pit. As far as things to do on property, there was an awesome beach for swimming and letting the kids build sand castles as well as a swim dock with a water slide. The Adirondack chairs at the beach were very nice quality. There is a pretty awesome pool area with 2 hot tubs. There are 3 docks on property that I was able to fish off of. I was told I could fish off of any dock except for the swim dock. I caught crappie, channel catfish, and bluegill. The bar and grill on the property, Boondockz, which is connected to the pool area looked pretty cool, although we didn't get to eat there as it was only open on two days we were there and we were busy those days. We don't have a boat l, but they have accommodations for boats and a boat ramp. The store/office was open daily from 9 to 5 and had the essentials you need in a pinch. Cons: The closest actual grocery store is 30 minutes away in Sunrise Beach(Dollar General is a bit closer, 20 minutes) There is road construction on Highway 7 that will last until September 2024 that adds 20+ minutes to any trip into town and 20+minutes back to the property. This is in addition to the distances above for the grocery store and DG. Be careful on Bollinger Creek Road(the road between Highway 7 and the Resort) about a mile from the resort there are some major potholes. One of the drivers in our party hit one of these potholes and did $750 in damage to their rim and tire. Also, beware of deer. This place is kinda off the beaten path, there isn't many comforts of home like fast food, grocery, convenience stores, etc close. When we got there we were missing the toaster and a broom. At first they told us we were out of luck on both because people steal them, but someone did bring over a toaster later that day. We were never given a broom so we just dealt with walking around in crumbs and sand for 5 days. If you are wanting to bank fish, do it on days when Boondockz is closed or at night, otherwise there will be a ton of boats coming in and out, loud music, etc. One major issue we had is there is no outdoor light for the patio area except for a single indoor compact Florescent bulb about 30 feet up, which gave off almost 0 light. This in my opinion is a major safety concern. My wife tripped going up the steps because she couldn't see what was on the stairs or even where they were. Every time we went outside at night we needed to take our phones or a flashlight to see anything. So bring a lantern. Water pressure wasn't the greatest. Hard water, so bring bottled water if you are sensitive to that. No washer and dryer. One of the hot tubs was not functioning correctly during our stay. Although the other one worked.
