Lazy J Ranch Motel - Three Rivers, CA

Great location, close to Sequoia national Park. This place is very well lit and easy to find. Rooms are comfy and cozy. We rented a cabin with a kitchen, that was pretty small but had all the amenities. Our heater was not working however they gave us a small electric one. Since we are out in open area, there are a few bugs that kept coming into the cabin, so the kids were not too happy about that. Other than that, good place to stay and would stay again.

All would be just great if they would not leave you freezing in the morning (January)! Hard to come out the blanquettes and take a shower at 52F/10C. I confirmed this with our room neighbour as they experienced the same. Lovely cats are browsing around the property!

Really great place to stay when visiting sequoia and kings canyon national parks! Great rooms and pool. There was like a bunch of spiders in our room but wasn’t a big deal. Still great!

I have been telling all my friends that if they want to check out the Sequoia park, they have to stay here. It is such a lovely gem with their own animals. Most importantly, they allow CATS! I got rejected so many times because the hotels always say PET FRIENDLY but it is actually just DOG FRIENDLY! Lazy J charged very reasonable amount for your furry family staying with them. The reception opens until 9. If you will arrive after 9, call them and they can leave your key at the door. I usually don’t like staying at the same place but I chose to come back for the second time. And my pictures speak louder than my words.

We were on our way to Las Vegas and decided to spend one night there. Unfortunately, it was Thanksgiving day that we checked in so they charged us $150 a night (2024). I noticed on the following Monday the rate went down to like 60 bucks. Oh well, that’s where we get for staying there over a thanksgiving weekend. It’s a cute old school motel. The rooms definitely need some upgrading and several things didn’t work like the heating unit (they had a little plug-in heater that didn’t quite heat the room-room temperature was a cool 60°) and the room phone. The front desk had a slew of DVDs that you could bring back to the room kind of old school.
