We have been here for 5 months and have loved it! This place has a small family/ community feel and everyone helps everyone. It’s clean, quiet, well cared for and of course has llamas that are fun to see and go up and talk to. Tina, the manager, is super responsive to texts and calls and does SO MUCH to keep this place going. I also love that there is propane right here on site. I’m so grateful for her help during the cold snow when my water wasn’t working right. She’s amazing. We are glad we chose to stay here !

We stayed for about 7 months or so, and the experience was quite mediocre. Amenities are pretty slim, but most people here aren’t for a weekend stay with the family. The campground itself is a nice area, but the road is not. Dogs bark in neighboring yards nightly, traffic is a lot heavier than you would think, and houses on the street are littered with junk. The sites are not equal sizes to each other so know how close you want to be to your neighbor. The owner is very hands off with his business and has the manager do just about everything. This excessive load has led to bathrooms frequently messy (then closed because people are messy). Dog waste trash cans were consistently overflowing, and frequently lacking bags. There was rarely anyone in the office. The owner needs to hire a separate person to do the llamas and to do the campground. The bathhouse was obviously quickly and poorly done. Quick fixes are also used quite frequently. Situations are handled very unprofessionally, and are often addressed on a Facebook page where most people are not active. There were several instances where a bathhouse issue (messiness) was handled like an elementary school classroom. As we left, we had issues with our electrical bill being way too high, and found out this was a campground wide issue. The manager wrote a (since deleted) post saying upon second looks, the meters and the bills were correct. However, with simple math, I could find out what my actual bill was. Not saying this is her fault, as the system she uses showed two months worth instead of one, but the way it was handled was poor. Most jobs have certain qualifications that should be met, yet this one does not seem to have very many. I don’t think the owner cares about the quality of his campground, just that it is making him money. In response to the owner: I was accompanied by my partner and our two dogs, until the floods happened and her brother and his dog was left without a home. This was approved by the camp host and was temporary. There were also other people in the campground had a significant number of members living in one camper (like 5 or 6 in one) Each time we used the bathhouse we made an effort to clean any water and issues we left behind. I have never once dyed my hair in that bathhouse, I would do so at a family members as to not affect the bathhouse. As for the incident where a manager discussed it with me, that did not happen, and my hair was black when the red dye was found. It’s strange you mention that she confronted me, when I had also spoke with her how I thought it was awful someone left that to clean and explained it was not me. We disposed of our dogs waste in the designated cans, and the waste left around the park was from a dog obviously much larger than ours were. There were multiple times dog waste bags were in fact very full, where the lid would not fully close, but I never thought of taking pictures of dog poop. The manager did not catch the error in electric bill with a simple math fix. I showed her the math and after that the bills were fixed. She even stated to me that she was never good at math, as my partner was in the same room.

Both managers (Ryan than Tina) during our stay there were both very nice and helpful. The campground has a nice layout, fairly quiet and they sell propane onsite. During our stay there were some policy/amenities updates so ask for clarification for the onsite bathrooms/bathhouses along with access & guidelines with the farm animals.

Tina is a terrific host. Campground has gravel/pebble lots, fairly level on most sites. Clean bath house and laundry. Propane fill on-siite.

We have been wanting to visit the Lazy Llama for a couple of years now. With that being said the website pictures are really deceiving. The Lazy Llama is more of a permanent resident campground or long term rental. It could be so much more than what it is. If you come to visit, make sure you stay in one of the pull through sites. Site 26 is the perfect spot. Great shade and the best view from the back of the camper. We really enjoyed the spot. We had a great time the few days that we were here. Saturday morning started off a little rough due to a small ball field being next door that had a very loud speaker. We did call the office and I believe the ladies name was Tracy that we spoke to. She took care of the situation and assured us that this did not usually happen. She also takes care of the Llamas. She took us up to have a great visit with all the Llamas. Wonderful animals and very friendly. Tracy was super nice also. Even though the campground was not this quaint little campground that we expected, we had a great trip. Would I come back??? I probably would for a three day weekend as long as the Llamas are there and available. Very long trip due to the traffic in Knoxville, so not worth the trip for just a weekend warrior. Not a place for kids, nothing to do but for us older folks, yes. With some money injection, this would be a super great place.

We needed a place last minute to park our camper for two nights. Tina was an amazing host (easy to contact, very responsive and helpful). We had a great stay in the beautiful state of TN.
