There is no day use, public boat launching, or public camping. Only the cabins are open to the public. June through August are a 7 night minimum for cabin rentals. The cabins are rustic with room for up to 6 people, dogs are allowed with management approval. Cabins have new comfortable queen mattresses, linens provided, soap is provided in the bathrooms. There is a kitchenette complete with an oven stove and sink, plus cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, coffee maker and a toaster. Decent sized fridges are in the living room along with a dining table and futon that can sleep two children comfortably. There is a screened in porch with a picnic bench, as well as a concrete picnic bench and umbrella in front of the cabins. They offer kayak rentals with rates varying for how long you rent them. There is a convenience store at the front of the resort offering a variety of items you may need for your stay. It is the best spot on the lake for a fun family summer vacation, and entertainment on select weekends. There is also a snack bar offering a variety of food that is open on the weekends.
I love this place so much! The staff is amazing, and great prices for an amazing place. Bedrooms are just the right size and are nice and clean. Great place for a family and nature weekend adventure! 10/10
The campground and bathrooms were immaculate and stayed that way even through the incredibly busy holiday weekend! Even though it was packed, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The snack bar had awesomely delicious food, and their mixed drinks were incredible! I CAN'T wait to go back!!
For 160+ per night, this is what you will NOT receive: towels, toiletries, Wi-Fi, AC, fans, heaters, TVs, microwaves, comfortable mattresses, coffee filters, relative privacy (a full-time residential trailer park exists on the other side of your bedroom windows) or the ability to enter the premises freely (you will always need to be buzzed in, and the wonky microphone makes difficult to hear each other). You’ll be charged a $250 deposit upon reserving a cabin, and that money will not be returned until after you depart. The entrance to the teeny tiny bathroom is very narrow, and will not accommodate a large or hefty person. (What many Lake County businesses don’t realize is that if you over-charge people for substandard services, we never come back… even though we would like to 😢) The lake is nice, and unlike mercury-laden, toxic-algal-bloom-affected Clear Lake, clean and healthy enough to swim in year-round. Some of the cabins are shaded by large, beautiful trees. The staff do their best to be helpful. Conclusion: this is not a cost-effective place for couples or frequent visitors to Lake County. On the other hand, families (without dogs or large humans, a rarity these days) requiring two bedrooms, a screened-in porch with a picnic table, and a fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator, will most likely get their money’s worth.
Really nice river that looks like a lake. Pretty low key but great for kids and for hanging out by some water. Really nice for paddleboarding on a not too windy day. The snack shack is cash only and pretty mediocre but fill you up if hungry.
