LeBaron Rec Site Campground Introduce

LeBaron Rec Site Campground, located within Fishlake National Forest, Utah, provides a scenic camping experience centered around a beautiful lake. This campground, categorized under Campgrounds & RV Parks, offers a rustic and natural setting for outdoor enthusiasts.

The campground operates on a self-pay system, with a $10 nightly fee deposited into a designated box. This system allows for convenient and affordable access to the site, which is often open later in the year compared to nearby campgrounds. Campers can enjoy spacious campsites situated within 100 feet of the lake, offering stunning views and direct access to the water.

Wildlife is abundant in the area, with frequent sightings of ducks, turkeys, deer, and elk. Cattle from the opposite side of the lake may occasionally enter the campground. Visitors have reported hearing elk trumpeting and fighting during the night, adding to the natural ambiance. A pit toilet is available, though some visitors have noted issues with cleanliness.

LeBaron Rec Site Campground is situated at a high elevation of approximately 9,900 feet. Visitors, especially those from lower elevations, should be aware of the potential for elevation sickness. The area is particularly popular among ATV enthusiasts, with numerous trails available for off-road exploration. Hiking trails, however, are less prevalent.

While the campground offers a picturesque lakeside setting and ample space, some visitors have mentioned that the lake water can be stagnant. Additionally, there have been reports of improperly disposed trash, which detracts from the natural beauty of the area. Local users seeking a remote and scenic camping experience with opportunities for ATV adventures should consider LeBaron Rec Site Campground, while being mindful of the high elevation and potential for wildlife encounters.

One of the best pay campgrounds I have stayed at. $10 a night in deposit box, no host. Lightly used site is open later in year than some of the nearby sites. Great views of lake. You can camp within 100 feet of lake. There is a pit toilet I didn't use. Lots of ducks, turkey, deer, and elk. Cattle on other side of lake enter campground. Elk were trumpeting and fighting all night. I didn't give 5 stars because water was a little stagnant. Also a fair amount of "trash" from people not using bathroom properly.

Great campsite! Right next to a beautiful lake, the campsites were far enough apart that it didn't feel crowded. This campsite is at the very top of a mountain, 9,900ft elevation. Beware elevation sickness- we were visiting from Vegas and had to leave early because I got horrible elevation sickness. The area is geared toward ATVs, we didn't come across any hiking trails in the area.

Absolutely beautiful area! It's very peaceful. The fresh cool air was awesome - we were on vacation to take a break from the Phoenix Arizona summer heat.

Absolutely beautiful but a the cost of 12 miles on forest roads with steep hills and sharp curves. Had I realized this, probably would not have stayed but then I would have missed one of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever witnessed.

The flies were outrageous all over the mtn for some reason. No potable water here but did have vault toilets. Didn't appreciate heaping pile of dog poo in site when we arrived.
