This is an Iowa State Park Gem! Large property with plenty of parking for any size rig or RV. There is an amphitheater, campground, dump station, snack shack, launch ramp and miles of trails throughout. I had 2 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming but no signal in multiple areas of the park. Day use is fee free, love it!

Absolutely beautiful this time of year! All the fall colored leaves made all the hills and ledges more noticeable and really just breathtaking! I've lived in Iowa for over 20 years now and never even knew about this park! My fiancée took me out to eat and surprised me by taking me to this park for all its beautiful sights! I love this park! Be advised it's a very busy park. I've never seen so many tourists/sightseers in any park before!! I can understand why though!!

Love this park. A bit of everything. Bridges, creeks into rivers, water over roads and pathways. Places to climb, walk, and hike. I only wish it would be that fewer people knew about it. The last time I was there - it was a bit busy and several extraordinarily rude people taking wedding photos. So the next time someone shows you wedding photos taken at this park - know they probably made other people's enjoyment of the area crash and burn for their own selfishly taken and fake posed pictures.

Beautiful State Park! Lots of trails to explore. Unique experience of walking through shallow water as well as driving through shallow water and splashing water on people standing by to get splashed! Took my dog for a walk and through the shallow creeks. We both loved this experience and plan to go back many times for a fun-filled day!

Such a hidden gem in Central Iowa that is so beautiful. Had lots of fun hiking and playing in the water with my 3 and 1 year old.
