We stayed in cabin Up Up & Away. The views are amazing, but there is nothing luxury about this cabin. Several broken rails on the decks, limited kitchen supplies, horrible scratches around all doorways and on trim, bathrooms in the bedrooms so those that sleep on the two king beds should be prepared to sleep with doors open and the other guests accessing their bedrooms to go to the bathroom…it does not appear that any efforts are going into continual maintenance and/or updated comfort amenities for guests. We reported the horrible scratches when we noticed them, but did not even get into all of the issues because they continued to mount. Some minor inconveniences, but all adding up to this place being a less than comfortable stay. Finally, just so you are aware if you are a winter visitor. We had a very impactful snow that we were not expecting as it only called for a “coating.” No delivery drivers could make it up. So we asked for the maintenance team to come and plow the “resort” road or to at least estimate when it may be plowed. They don’t do that. The HOA is responsible. No contact for the HOA and no replies for help with getting food or clear roads to guests unexpectedly snowed in. We packed up and left a day early and barely made it to the bottom of the hill. Thankfully we did this as highs are expected in the 20s tomorrow. We saw several guests stuck nearly 2 miles away from their cabins at the bottom of the hill as they had been in town throughout the day and had no idea about the severe weather in the resort. All this to say, find somewhere to stay that takes care of their guests and their properties.

Not sure why people are leaving bad reviews! We rented through cabins in the clouds and have been dealing with Walt since July of this year (our vacation wasn’t until November) He’s been very accommodating Broke Spoke (the cabin) is absolutely amazing!

My family just stayed in Black Bear Rendez View Sept. 2-8. We called the office Wednesday night about sewage gas coming up from the shower drains. The smell completely overtook the downstairs portion of the cabin and started making its way upstairs. We were told someone would come out the following morning. We never heard back about the issue, and the issue is still persisting. Sewage gas is combustible, highly toxic, and can be fatal in some cases, just by the way. Another thing to note is the fan in the downstairs restroom does not work. The cabin is also crawling with multiple spiders and is covered in spider webs.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK!!! We stayed in 2315 Top of the World Drive. My brother said the only thing that worked in the cabin was us because we had to clean it. The cabin was dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere, leaking pipes, and leaking toilets. There were no mattress covers (so you had close contact to the funky mattress) or flat sheets on the beds. The blankets had long blond hair over them. The washing machine didn't work, nor did most of the televisions. The carpet was filthy and worn. I can't go on because I'm getting depressed 😪. Of course we complained and asked for a refund of the cleaning fee 👎 Needless to say we won't be going back.

ZERO STARS! We are beyond disappointed. We were here 10 years ago and everything was perfect. Sad to see it has gone downhill so badly. This place advertises “LUXURY CABINS” and that is what I paid for. It’s the opposite of luxurious! Nasty. Just NASTY. “The View” seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned EVER. Both bathrooms were filthy, one toilet seat wasn’t even attached! Buildup of crud and hair everywhere. Both sinks were clogged with something that smelled rotten/putrid. The showers looked like they’d NEVER been cleaned. Bathroom mirrors had LAYERS of nastiness. Hot tub not clean, but SLIMEY. Everything else was so dirty, We didn’t even try to use the kitchen. We just ate out for every meal.. the “rec room” was so disgusting I would never let children play with anything in there. Sticky, nasty, filth. thick layer of dust in every room, even on the walls. If I owned property here, I would damn sure take better care of it. They have ruined a perfect location. Now we must search for a different place to stay in the smokies. I will research ALL reviews in the future
